The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are already drawing attention long before launch, but the latest buzz is not limited to Apple’s own plans. Caviar has now moved the conversation toward an even more extravagant direction with a custom “Royal Colors” edition inspired by leaked iPhone 18 Pro imagery.

That version turns the upcoming Pro lineup into something closer to a luxury collectible than a standard smartphone. With gold framing, exotic materials, and limited production, the custom models are being positioned for buyers who want exclusivity as much as technology.

A luxury take on Apple’s next Pro lineup

Caviar’s “Royal Colors” series is said to arrive in four limited-edition variants. The design includes an engraved serial number, a gold frame, crocodile leather, and python leather, giving the device a much more ornamental look than the regular model.

The price reflects that positioning. Reported figures place the custom versions at around $10,060 to more than $12,000, depending on the design and storage configuration.

What the regular iPhone 18 Pro is expected to bring

The premium treatment comes as the iPhone 18 Pro series itself is already surrounded by major hardware rumors. Apple is expected to unveil the next iPhone lineup in September 2026, although the company has not confirmed any device details.

Leaks suggest that both Pro models will receive meaningful changes in design, camera capability, battery life, and performance. That backdrop helps explain why a third-party luxury edition like Caviar’s fits naturally into the wider image of the Pro series.

Display sizes and front design changes

The two Pro models are expected to keep distinct screen sizes. The iPhone 18 Pro is rumored to use a 6.3-inch LTPO+ OLED panel, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max is tipped to feature a larger 6.9-inch display.

Apple is also said to be reducing bezel thickness around the screen. That move would make the front of the phone feel more refined and more premium than the previous generation.

One of the more closely watched rumors involves under-display Face ID technology. Reports indicate Apple has been working on hiding the Face ID sensor beneath the panel, and the iPhone 18 Pro Max is said to be the model most likely to get it.

If that happens, the Dynamic Island on the Pro Max could become slightly smaller. Some leaks even point to the front camera moving to the upper-left corner instead of staying centered, which would mark one of the biggest changes to the iPhone front design in several generations.

Camera upgrades and performance gains

Camera hardware is also expected to play a major role in separating the two Pro models. Both devices are tipped to carry an improved triple-camera system with variable aperture support.

That technology would allow the amount of light reaching the sensor to be adjusted manually or automatically. The main benefit would be stronger photo results in difficult lighting conditions.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max is also rumored to get an extra advantage in zoom and low-light photography. Leaks point to a better telephoto setup reserved for the Pro Max model.

On the performance side, the Pro models are expected to move up to 16GB of RAM. That would be a notable jump and should help with multitasking, demanding apps, gaming, and AI processing.

Battery, thermals, and market positioning

Battery changes are also part of the picture. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to return with a larger battery than its predecessor, while the iPhone 18 Pro is said to rely more on chipset efficiency than on a major battery size increase.

Both models are also expected to use a more power-efficient chipset and improved thermal management. That combination is aimed at keeping performance stable during multitasking, video recording, and gaming.

Size differences are likely to remain as well. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to stay larger and heavier than the iPhone 18 Pro, continuing the separation that has defined the two models for some time.

Pricing rumors for the standard models have also started to circulate. The iPhone 18 Pro is said to cost around Rs 1,36,000 in India, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max may be priced around Rs 1,52,000 or even higher.

There is also discussion of a possible shift in Apple’s launch strategy. According to some industry sources, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max could arrive first in September, with the standard models following in spring 2027.

Against that background, Caviar’s gold-laden edition does more than add another luxury spin to the lineup. It pushes the iPhone 18 Pro conversation beyond hardware rumors and into the territory of rarefied collector products.
