For buyers watching the budget laptop segment, Polytron is making a sharper push with the Luxia R5. The package is not built around specs alone, because the early purchase offer also adds a backpack and a smart CCTV unit.

The model enters the market at Rp 7.199.000 and uses AMD Ryzen 5 7430U. Polytron positions it for students, college users, mobile workers, and beginner content creators who need a productive laptop without moving into a higher price tier.

Core hardware aimed at everyday work

On paper, the Luxia R5 starts with 8 GB DDR4 RAM and a 256 GB SSD. That setup is intended for daily use, document work, online classes, and basic productivity tasks.

Polytron also leaves room for expansion, which matters in this price class. The RAM can be upgraded to 32 GB, while storage can be expanded up to 2 TB.

That flexibility may appeal to users who want to keep the initial purchase cost low. It is also practical for students, office workers, and entry-level creators whose workloads may grow over time.

A larger 14-inch display in a 16:10 format

Polytron equips the Luxia R5 with a 14-inch WUXGA display. The panel uses IPS technology and a 16:10 aspect ratio.

The taller format gives more vertical space than a standard screen. That can help when typing, handling spreadsheets, joining online classes, or switching between work windows.

Polytron says the display is made for comfortable long viewing sessions. The company also claims the screen is designed to reduce eye fatigue and strain.

For video calls, the laptop includes a 2 MP webcam with 1080p resolution. It also comes with a physical Camera Switch so users can cover the camera by sliding a button.

Simple design, broad connectivity, and extra protection

The Luxia R5 comes in Obsidian Gray. Polytron describes the design as simple and elegant, making it suitable for campus, office, and travel use.

The company also highlights its all-function port approach. While the exact port list is not detailed, the emphasis suggests support for users who still rely on accessories, external displays, or additional storage devices.

That kind of connectivity can matter in the Rp 7 jutaan segment. Many buyers in this range still want a laptop that connects easily to everyday work tools.

The bigger incentive, however, comes from the after-sales package. Polytron includes Polytron Protect Plus for two years, and the coverage also features Accidental Damage Protection.

The protection is said to cover incidents such as the laptop being knocked over, coffee spills, and other unexpected damage. It also extends to natural disasters such as earthquakes and tsunamis, fire, smoke, and loss due to criminal acts or violent robbery.

Pre-order window and early deal

The Polytron Luxia R5 7430U has been available since 25 May 2026. Polytron also opened an exclusive pre-order on Blibli until 3 June 2026.

During that period, the price remains Rp 7.199.000. With the added backpack and smart CCTV, Polytron is clearly trying to make the opening offer stand out in the crowded affordable laptop market.
