In a budget segment where many phones still cut corners on comfort and finish, Infinix Hot 70 tries to stand out by making the hardware feel more deliberate. The device pairs a slim build with a large display and a 120Hz refresh rate, creating a package that looks more polished than the typical entry-level option.
That first impression is reinforced by several practical touches. Infinix also adds a large battery, generous memory choices, and long-term software support, which gives the Hot 70 a profile that goes beyond appearance alone.
A slimmer body with a more distinctive finish
The back panel uses a wavy holographic pattern with a soft finish that is less likely to pick up fingerprints. At around 195 grams and about 7.5 mm thick, the phone is built to stay reasonably comfortable in daily use.
Infinix offers Green Texture and Thermo Orange, giving the device a livelier look than many low-cost phones that still rely on plain designs. The company also includes IP65 protection against dust and splashes, along with an SGS-certified drop resistance claim.
One of the more unusual additions is the One-Tap AI button. It can be programmed for specific functions, including the flashlight, which is still uncommon in this price class.
A large 120Hz display for everyday use
The screen is a 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution at 720 x 1576 pixels. Its adaptive 120Hz refresh rate is the feature most likely to be noticed in daily navigation, especially when scrolling through social feeds or moving between menus.
The resolution is not as sharp as a Full HD or OLED panel, but the higher refresh rate helps the interface feel smoother and more responsive. Peak brightness is said to reach around 700 nits in HBM mode, which should help visibility when the phone is used outdoors under strong light.
Balanced hardware for routine tasks
Inside, the Hot 70 uses the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate built on a 6nm process. The chipset combines 2x 2.2GHz Cortex-A76 cores and 6x 2.0GHz Cortex-A55 cores, while graphics are handled by a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
For everyday tasks, that setup is sufficient for social media, banking apps, and multitasking with several browser tabs open. Heavier games such as Genshin Impact can still run on low graphics settings, although frame drops become more noticeable when the settings are pushed higher.
Memory options include 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. Storage comes in 128GB and 256GB UFS 2.2 variants, and the dedicated microSD slot keeps expansion available without sacrificing dual-SIM use.
Battery life remains one of the main strengths
The 6,000mAh battery is one of the most important selling points here. Infinix says it can last through a full day of heavy use and still leave enough charge for the next day’s morning hours.
Charging support reaches 45W Lightning FastCharge, with a claimed full recharge from near empty in about one hour. The phone also supports 10W reverse wired charging, which allows it to act as an emergency power bank for other devices.
For gaming while plugged in, bypass charging is included. That mode sends power directly to the system, helping control heat and battery wear during longer sessions.
Cameras and software round out the package
On the rear, the phone carries a 50MP f/1.85 main camera with autofocus and a secondary lens. The front camera uses an 8MP f/2.0 sensor with fixed focus, which is suitable for selfies and video calls.
In good lighting, the main camera can capture solid detail with relatively balanced color. The results are generally acceptable for social media posting without much editing, while video recording goes up to 1440p at 30fps for more flexibility than phones limited to 1080p.
Low-light performance is more limited, and fine detail can take on a watercolor-like appearance when illumination drops. The software side runs on Android 16 with XOS 16, and Infinix promises 3 years of major OS updates plus 5 years of regular security patches.
XOS 16 brings display customization, notification management, battery optimization, and support for the One-Tap AI button as a daily shortcut tool. That combination helps position the Hot 70 as a budget phone that tries to offer a more refined user experience, not just a lower price point.
