Apple’s 2026 product pipeline is shaping up to be unusually crowded, but the biggest talking points are not simply the number of devices. What stands out is the way Apple may split its launches more sharply than usual, with Pro-tier products moving first and several other models following later.
That approach would place the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at the center of the first wave, while the broader iPhone family waits for a separate release window. At the same time, the first foldable iPhone and a major OLED MacBook Pro refresh are emerging as the most closely watched launches in the lineup.
A changed iPhone rollout
Apple is expected to keep the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max for September 2026. Both models are said to arrive with new color options, improved chips, an updated Camera Control button, and a smaller Dynamic Island.
The standard iPhone 18, iPhone 18 Plus, and iPhone 18e are then expected to arrive in the spring of the following year. That would mark a notable shift from the more familiar pattern where Apple often introduces the full iPhone family together.
The foldable iPhone takes the spotlight
Among all the devices under discussion, the foldable iPhone is drawing the most attention. The device is also said to carry the iPhone Ultra name, and it is described as Apple’s first foldable phone.
The handset is rumored to feature a 7.7-inch internal display with a crease-free design. Its size is said to be reminiscent of the iPad mini, while Apple is also reported to be developing iOS 27 specifically for foldable use.
Signs of that software direction may begin to appear at WWDC 2026 in June. That would give developers an early look at how Apple plans to adapt its software for a new form factor.
Apple Watch lines up with health changes
Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 are also expected to arrive alongside the September iPhone launch window. The Series 12 is said to include a new arrangement of eight sensors on the underside of the watch.
That sensor setup could support new health metrics or improve the accuracy of existing measurements. There is also talk of a major redesign for the Health app, with AI support positioned as a more personal health assistant.
Touch ID has been linked to this generation as well, although that detail remains uncertain. For the Ultra 4, the available rumors are still unclear, and there is even a possibility that the model will not appear until 2027.
iPad updates for both premium and entry-level users
Apple’s tablet lineup is also expected to see activity later in 2026. The eighth-generation iPad mini is tipped to arrive in late September or October, and it is said to use the A20 Pro chip, the same chip family expected in the iPhone 18 Pro models.
The most notable possibility for that device is an OLED display. If that happens, the iPad mini 8 would become the first iPad mini to use OLED, which would be a major shift for Apple’s compact tablet line.
The entry-level iPad is also in line for an update. The iPad 12 is said to use the A19 chip, support Apple Intelligence, and possibly include Apple’s N1 chip, while keeping a design similar to its predecessor.
MacBook Pro could get the biggest leap
Apple is also reportedly preparing at least four Mac devices for October 2026. The most important of them appears to be the M6 MacBook Pro, which is said to bring an OLED display, a new M6 chip, and touch support.
There is also a chance the device will be renamed MacBook Ultra. That name would help separate it from a higher-positioned MacBook Neo, which is said to sit above the Pro tier.
Other Mac models in the same period are expected to receive more modest updates. Mac Studio, Mac mini, and iMac are all tipped to move to the M5 chip family, making the MacBook Pro the clear center of attention in the Mac lineup.
Home devices wait on Apple Intelligence
Apple’s smart home plans also appear to be tied closely to software readiness. The company is said to be working on a new HomePod mini, HomePod 3, Home Hub, and an updated Apple TV 4K.
The refreshed Apple TV 4K is expected to use a more powerful chip, likely the A17 Pro, along with Apple’s N1 chip for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Apple is also reported to be developing a security camera and a Face ID doorbell.
Even so, these products still depend on improvements to Apple Intelligence and Siri. Voice control powered by AI is positioned as a core part of the experience, and the wider smart home rollout may not move forward until Siri 2.0 arrives in the fall.
