iClever is positioning the QuietShield Q950 as more than a children’s headphone with a playful design. The company says the model is the world’s first kids’ headphone to receive TÜV Hearing Care Certification, putting hearing protection at the center of the product rather than treating it as an extra feature.
That certification evaluates hearing safety, audio quality, and long-term protection. In practical use, the Q950 is built to keep sound levels under control while still giving children enough clarity for music, educational videos, and movies.
Volume control comes first
At the core of the Q950 is iClever’s SafeSound technology, which limits maximum volume to 80 dBA. That ceiling follows the World Health Organization’s recommendation for safe listening for children and teenagers.
The focus on limiting output matters because noise-related hearing damage can be permanent. WHO says nearly one billion young people worldwide are at risk of hearing problems that could have been prevented.
The broader scale is also significant. WHO reports that more than 430 million people live with hearing loss that affects daily life, and around 34 million of them are children.
Noise cancellation for louder environments
Beyond volume control, the QuietShield Q950 also includes Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation. iClever says the system can reduce noise by up to 35 dB, helping audio stay clearer in busy surroundings.
According to the company’s internal testing, the ANC can cut as much as 94.75% of cabin noise on airplanes or public transport. That means children may not need to turn the sound up as high in loud environments.
The ANC also works when the headset is used with an AUX cable. That makes it useful for airplane entertainment systems or other devices that do not support Bluetooth.
For situations where awareness of the surroundings matters, the headset also offers Transparency Mode. This lets children hear nearby sounds while still using the headphones.
Features rarely seen in kids’ headphones
The Q950 adds several functions more commonly found in premium adult models. One of them is Wear Detection, which uses an infrared sensor and an accelerometer to detect when the headphones are worn or removed.
When the headset is taken off, playback stops automatically. When it is put back on, the music resumes.
There is also Bluetooth Audio Sharing, allowing two headphones to connect to one device at the same time. iClever positions this feature as useful for shared learning or watching films without having to share a single earcup.
Connectivity relies on Bluetooth 6.0. The company says the newer standard is meant to deliver a more stable connection and lower latency.
Built for long sessions and travel
Battery life is another area where the Q950 stands out on paper. iClever claims up to 60 hours of use with ANC off, or up to 35 hours with ANC on.
That kind of endurance makes the headset more suitable for everyday use and longer trips. It also supports the product’s travel-friendly positioning, especially when paired with its noise cancellation features.
The headphone is designed to stay comfortable over extended listening periods. It uses a headband with 10 levels of adjustment, along with soft protein leather ear cushions.
The earcups can rotate up to 90 degrees, which helps reduce pressure on the ears. The headset weighs 238 grams, keeping it relatively light for long wear.
Materials, durability, and launch details
iClever says the Q950 is made with BPA-free and PVC-free materials. The model also meets international safety standards including RoHS, REACH, and the U.S. CPC.
For durability, the headphone uses a high-strength POK headband and metal hinges. Those hinges have passed SGS testing for 3,000 rotation cycles.
The design has also received a Red Dot Award 2026 in the industrial design category. Before a wider rollout, the QuietShield Q950 was shown at Global Connect Show @Shenzhen 2026, an event that brought together Chinese technology companies, media, distributors, investors, and business partners from multiple countries.
iClever says global availability is scheduled to begin in July 2026 through Amazon and the official iClever store. The company has not announced official pricing or availability in Indonesia.
