Infinix is preparing to add a new entry-level option in India, and Smart 20 is shaping up to be more ambitious than its price class usually suggests. The phone combines a 120Hz display, a 5,200mAh battery, and a slim 7.7mm body, while also introducing a rare wireless communication feature that sets it apart from typical budget models.
The device is scheduled to launch in India on June 8 at 12 PM IST. Sales will go through Flipkart, giving the phone a clear launch channel from the start.
A budget phone with an unusual feature set
What makes Smart 20 stand out most is not only its core hardware, but also Ultra Link. Infinix claims the feature can enable wireless communication between Infinix phones at distances of up to 1 km, a specification that is rarely seen in this segment.
That detail gives Smart 20 a distinct identity as Infinix refreshes its Smart lineup. The model arrives as the direct successor to the Infinix Smart 10, which launched in India in July last year.
Display and design aimed at everyday use
Smart 20 comes with a 6.78-inch display and a 120Hz refresh rate. That combination should make everyday scrolling, social media use, and light entertainment feel smoother than on many low-cost phones.
The front uses a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera and video calls. On the back, the phone carries a rectangular camera module with two cameras and an LED flash.
Infinix also uses a flat frame and a 3D Texture Composite rear panel. The phone’s body is said to measure just 7.7mm thick, with the power and volume buttons placed on the right side.
Core hardware and storage flexibility
Powering the device is the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate chipset. It is paired with 4GB of RAM for basic daily tasks.
Storage remains expandable through a MicroSD card slot, with support for up to 2TB. That should appeal to users who need more room for photos, videos, and apps without relying only on built-in storage.
Battery life is one of the main attractions
Battery capacity is another headline feature. Smart 20 packs a 5,200mAh battery, which Infinix says can deliver around 39 days of standby time.
Charging support includes 15W wired fast charging. The phone also supports 5W reverse charging, allowing it to top up other devices when needed.
Protection and color options
Infinix lists an IP64 rating for the Smart 20, adding protection against dust and splashes. That gives the phone an extra layer of durability for a model positioned in the affordable segment.
Color options include Cloudline Blue, Polaris Titanium, Shadow Black, and Sunlike Orange. Pricing for the India market has not yet been announced on the live microsite, but the launch details, design, colors, and key specifications are already in place ahead of the official reveal.
