200MP Camera, Dimensity 9500s, and a 7,000mAh Battery Push OPPO Reno16 Pro Into Flagship Territory

OPPO is pushing the Reno16 Pro beyond the usual middle-range formula by loading it with a 200MP camera, a 7,000mAh battery, and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500s. That combination gives the phone a more ambitious profile than most devices in its category, especially at a time when many rivals only bring small upgrades.

The model launches alongside the standard Reno16 in China, but the Pro version clearly carries the stronger hardware story. OPPO still keeps the Reno identity intact with a design aimed at younger users, yet the focus here is firmly on performance, imaging, and endurance.

A slimmer body with stronger protection

Even with a large battery inside, the Reno16 Pro stays relatively slim at 7.9 mm and weighs about 209 grams. OPPO also adds a dedicated physical button on the left side for quick access to different settings.

The back panel uses a sparkling small-pattern finish inspired by the Milky Way, which gives the device a more animated look under light. A matte sandblasted metal frame adds a more secure grip while also helping reduce fingerprints.

Durability is another part of the package. The Reno16 Pro carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for water and dust resistance in harsher conditions.

Large OLED display with high brightness

On the front, the phone uses a 6.78-inch OLED panel with very slim bezels. Its screen-to-body ratio reaches 93.35 percent, creating a wide and premium-looking display area.

The resolution stands at 2,772 x 1,272 pixels, and the panel supports 10-bit color. OPPO also gives it a peak brightness of 3,600 nits, which should help visibility outdoors under strong light.

A 120Hz refresh rate is included for smoother motion and transitions. High-frequency PWM dimming is also present to improve comfort during nighttime use or in dim environments.

Dimensity 9500s and strong benchmark numbers

Inside, the Reno16 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s built on a 3nm process. In AnTuTu V11 testing, the device scores 2,852,066 points, while Geekbench 6 results show 2,640 in single-core and 8,020 in multi-core.

Those figures point to a phone that is built for heavy everyday use as well as more demanding workloads. For gaming, OPPO adds a super-resolution algorithm that can raise game graphics to 1.5K resolution.

Storage is one area that does not move as far forward, since the phone still uses UFS 3.1 rather than UFS 4.0. ColorOS 16 also arrives with an AI physical button that can save on-screen content, summarize long articles, and collect information automatically.

Camera system built around 200MP imaging

The main selling point remains the camera setup. OPPO equips the Reno16 Pro with a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom.

For selfies, the phone includes a 50MP front camera with autofocus. This setup gives the device flexibility for detailed stills, portraits, and everyday content creation.

Live Photos receive an upgrade as well, and OPPO pairs them with its Natural Tone algorithm to preserve skin detail and keep portraits looking realistic rather than overly smoothed. Retro-style filters such as Inst Film and CCD light filters are also included.

In low light or difficult lighting, noise reduction and HDR are used to protect detail. Video recording also benefits from built-in stabilization on the 200MP camera, helping keep footage steadier when the user is moving.

Big battery, fast charging

Power comes from a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which fits into the thin body without forcing the design to become bulky. The capacity is meant to support mixed daily use, including social media, movie watching, and work tasks.

Charging support is fast on both wired and wireless levels. The Reno16 Pro supports 80W wired charging and up to 50W wireless charging, giving the device a more complete flagship-style hardware mix within the middle-range segment.
