A new Casio collaboration is putting ocean-inspired design at the center of three watches that also carry an environmental message. The lineup arrives in translucent blue and uses more eco-conscious materials, pairing a strong visual identity with practical features across G-Shock and Baby-G.
The release was introduced in Japan through Casio’s ongoing partnership with ICERC Japan. It also serves as a commemorative edition ahead of ICERC Japan’s 35th anniversary in 2026, giving the collection a purpose that goes beyond aesthetics.
Three models, three different roles
The trio consists of the G-Shock Frogman GW-8202K-2, the G-Shock GA-B2100KB-2A, and the Baby-G BGD-5650K-2. Although each watch comes from a different line, all three share the same translucent blue tone that creates a skeleton-like effect inspired by the sea.
That shared design language keeps the collaboration cohesive, while each model still preserves the personality of its own series. Casio uses the ocean theme as the visual thread that ties the collection together without flattening the differences between the watches.
Eco-minded materials and packaging
Casio also gave attention to the materials used in the collection. The main resin components in the bezel and strap are made with biomass plastic sourced from renewable organic materials.
The company also uses recycled materials for the packaging. That combination helps the environmental message extend from the watch itself to the box it comes in.
Small details that reinforce the sea theme
Each model adds a different marine-inspired accent to the overall concept. These touches are subtle, but they make the theme visible in daily use and when the lights are turned on.
The GA-B2100KB-2A includes a small whale-shaped indicator hand on the 9 o’clock subdial. The Frogman GW-8202K-2 shows a whale silhouette on the LCD when the LED light is activated, while the Baby-G BGD-5650K-2 reveals a dolphin silhouette when the backlight is turned on.
Which model offers what
Among the three, the GA-B2100KB-2A stands out for connectivity. Built on the popular octagonal 2100 platform often nicknamed CasiOak, it supports Bluetooth and works with the Casio Watches app for automatic time adjustment, world time setup, and a phone finder function.
It also uses Tough Solar power and is rated for about seven months of operation on a full charge under standard use. Its price is set at ¥29,150.
The Frogman GW-8202K-2 is the most specialized watch in the lineup. Casio built it as a dive watch with a titanium screw-back case and ISO-certified 200-meter water resistance.
Its underwater tools are the most extensive in the series. The watch offers a dedicated dive mode that can track diving time for up to 24 hours and surface intervals, plus storage for up to 10 dive logs.
It also displays moon phase data and tide graphs. Unlike the GA-B2100KB-2A, the Frogman does not include Bluetooth, but it still relies on standard quartz accuracy and Tough Solar power. Its price is ¥85,800.
The smallest and most accessible option
The Baby-G BGD-5650K-2 is the smallest watch in the collection and also the most affordable. It is based on the square 5600 design that has long been one of the defining shapes in both the Baby-G and G-Shock families.
Even at the lowest price in the group, the watch keeps useful everyday functions. It supports Multi Band 6 for automatic time adjustment through radio signals from six global transmitters and, like the other two models, uses solar power.
Casio lists the Baby-G at ¥24,200. The three watches went on sale in Japan beginning in June, bringing the brand’s ocean collaboration back with a mix of recycled packaging, biomass plastic, and distinct features across each model.
