Acer is pushing its AI laptop lineup into a slimmer, lighter form with the Swift Air 14, a model built for people who want portability without giving up modern AI features. The device was introduced at Computex 2026 in Taiwan and is aimed at users who need an everyday laptop that is easy to carry and still capable of handling on-device AI tasks.
The Swift Air 14, listed as SFA14-I31, runs on the latest Intel Core Series 3 processor and delivers up to 40 TOPS of AI performance. Acer also says the dedicated NPU provides up to 17 TOPS, allowing AI features to run directly on the device instead of relying entirely on the cloud.
Built for mobility
Acer designed the Swift Air 14 with an all-aluminum body and two color choices: Sage Green and Frost Blue. The laptop weighs 1.25 kilograms and measures 12.9 mm thick, putting it in the category of ultra-thin machines intended for students, professionals, and hybrid workers.
The display follows the same portable-first approach. Acer uses a 14-inch WUXGA panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 100 percent sRGB coverage, aiming to combine smooth motion with accurate color reproduction for both content consumption and productivity work.
Battery and collaboration features
Battery life is one of the main selling points. Acer claims the Swift Air 14 can last up to 19 hours for video playback, and it supports fast charging that can reach 50 percent in 30 minutes.
For video calls and remote work, the laptop includes a 1080p IR camera with Windows Hello support, facial recognition, and a privacy shutter. Acer also adds PurifiedVoice and PurifiedView, both AI-based, to improve audio and visual quality during online meetings.
Connectivity and ports
Despite its thin profile, the Swift Air 14 keeps a practical set of connections. It supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, and it includes two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, one USB-A port, and HDMI 2.1.
The audio system also gets attention, with four speakers and DTS Ultra support for 3D spatial sound. That combination is meant to make the laptop more suitable for streaming, video calls, and general media use.
Software and broader lineup
Acer ships the Swift Air 14 with Windows 11 and a Copilot key for quick access to AI features. The company also bundles AcerSense, Acer Intelligence Space, Acer QR Capture, Acer AI Image Generator, and Acer Video Speed Controller to expand its productivity and creative tools.
The model launched alongside the Swift Spin 14 AI, a premium convertible with a 360-degree design and a stronger focus on high-end AI productivity. That device uses the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H, a NPU rated up to 50 TOPS, and a total platform performance of 100 TOPS, while also offering up to 26 hours of video playback.
Acer positions the Swift Air 14 as a more accessible option in this new AI-focused lineup. Intel’s Josh Newman said the device brings high performance and competitive pricing for students, families, and small businesses, while Acer’s James Lin described it as part of a broader effort to make AI technology more widely available.
