Itel A200 has arrived in Indonesia with a starting price of Rp1.5 million, and its biggest talking point is not the price. The phone leans heavily on a design language that closely resembles the iPhone 17 Pro, especially at the rear, where a large rectangular camera module immediately stands out.
That visual strategy is reinforced by the Comet Orange color option, which gives the device a premium look uncommon in the entry-level segment. Itel is clearly using design to separate the A200 from the many budget phones that tend to look similar.
Entry-level hardware, but with a few unexpected extras
Despite the premium-inspired appearance, the Itel A200 is still aimed at everyday basic use rather than midrange or flagship performance. It was first introduced in February 2026 and later announced for Indonesia through Itel’s official Instagram account, @itelindonesia.
The front side still uses a notch display, a layout that remains common in more affordable smartphones. The screen measures 6.75 inches and supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, with a 720 x 1,600 pixel resolution and 480 nits of brightness.
A 5 MP selfie camera sits inside the notch, while the rear camera is a 13 MP unit placed in the large iPhone 17 Pro-style module. The overall setup suggests a focus on straightforward daily photography rather than advanced imaging.
Performance and battery are built for efficiency
Under the hood, the phone runs on the Unisoc T7250 chipset. Itel offers two memory variants for the Indonesian market, namely 3 GB/128 GB and 4 GB/64 GB.
The battery capacity reaches 5,000 mAh, paired with 15 watt charging through a USB-C port. On the software side, the device ships with Android 15 Go Edition and Itel OS 15.1.2.
That combination places the A200 firmly in the efficiency-first category. It is built to cover daily communication, browsing, and light app usage without trying to compete with more powerful devices.
Security, audio, and durability add the surprise factor
Beyond looks and basic hardware, Itel includes several features that help the A200 stand out in its price class. The phone has a side fingerprint scanner and face unlock, along with DTS Sound Effects for audio enhancement.
One of the most unusual features is Ultralink, which allows free calls without cellular signal within a range of up to 2 kilometers. For a phone in this segment, that is a notable addition because it goes beyond the usual checklist of budget smartphone features.
Durability is another area where the A200 pushes harder than expected. The device carries an IP65 rating for dust and water spray resistance, and it also passes the MIL-STD-810H standard for resistance to impacts, shocks, extreme temperatures, high humidity, vibration, and dust.
Those protections make the phone more appealing for users who want a low-cost device with stronger physical resilience. In a market where many affordable phones compete mainly on specs, Itel is adding toughness as a clear selling point.
Price in Indonesia
The Itel A200 is already available through Itel partner marketplaces in Indonesia. The 3 GB/128 GB version is priced at Rp1.5 million, while the 4 GB/64 GB variant costs Rp1.7 million.
With that pricing, the A200 sits in a highly competitive segment. Even so, its mix of an eye-catching design, a 120 Hz display, a 5,000 mAh battery, and extra durability features gives it a distinct identity among entry-level phones.
