Samsung has expanded its Galaxy Book lineup in the United States with the launch of the Galaxy Book 6 Edge, its first laptop to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite processor. The new model is positioned as a slim Windows machine that puts AI features, long battery life, and a large display at the center of the experience.
The device is aimed at users who want a 16-inch screen without giving up portability. Samsung pairs that size with an AMOLED panel at 2880 x 1800 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an anti-reflective coating.
AI performance takes the lead
Samsung says the Snapdragon X2 Elite is the key to the Galaxy Book 6 Edge’s performance story. The laptop comes with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, while the chip’s 80 TOPS NPU is meant to handle the AI workload.
That setup supports features such as AI Select, which can help with translation, image editing, and content recognition. Users can also search for files, photos, and settings using natural language commands.
The company is clearly treating AI as more than a side feature. On this model, it is built into the core experience and presented as one of the main reasons to consider the device.
Designed to work across the Galaxy ecosystem
Samsung also continues to emphasize cross-device integration. Galaxy Book 6 Edge includes Storage Share for easier access to files across Galaxy devices, along with Multi Control for copy, paste, and drag-and-drop between compatible products.
Galaxy Tab owners get Second Screen support as well, allowing a tablet to serve as a secondary display. For users already invested in Samsung hardware, that kind of integration could make daily workflows feel more seamless.
Ports, wireless features, and audio remain practical
Despite its thin design, the laptop does not lean too heavily on dongles. It includes two USB-C ports, one USB-A port, HDMI 2.1, a microSD card slot, and a headphone jack.
Samsung also equips the Galaxy Book 6 Edge with four speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a fingerprint reader. The package suggests a focus on both productivity and media use rather than raw specs alone.
Battery life is another major selling point
Battery endurance is another headline feature. Samsung says the 61.8Wh battery can deliver up to 22 hours of video playback, which gives the laptop strong appeal for mobile work.
The company also claims fast charging can restore up to 40% of the battery in about 30 minutes. That combination puts the Galaxy Book 6 Edge in the category of laptops meant to last through a full day and beyond.
Price and availability in the US
The Galaxy Book 6 Edge is available now in the United States through Samsung’s online store. The only color offered is Gray Blue, and the only configuration listed is 16GB of RAM with 1TB of storage.
Samsung has priced the laptop at $2,099.99. At that level, it is clearly aimed at premium buyers looking for a large-screen laptop with AI features, strong battery life, and tight Galaxy ecosystem integration.
