OnePlus has expanded the OnePlus 15R lineup in India with a new top-end configuration that pairs 16GB of RAM with 512GB of internal storage. The new model is priced at Rs. 61,999 and now sits above the earlier versions in the series.
The key change is memory capacity rather than a redesign of the phone itself. OnePlus has kept the core hardware, battery, display, and camera setup unchanged, making the new variant a choice for users who want more headroom for multitasking and storage rather than a different feature set.
A new top tier for the India lineup
Before this update, the highest-spec OnePlus 15R sold in India offered 12GB of RAM with 512GB of storage. The new 16GB model creates a three-step pricing structure for the lineup and gives buyers another option at the top end.
The current pricing in India now starts with the 12GB + 256GB model at Rs. 54,999. Above it sits the 12GB + 512GB version at Rs. 59,999, while the new 16GB + 512GB variant is listed at Rs. 61,999.
| OnePlus 15R Variant | Price in India |
|---|---|
| 12GB + 256GB | Rs. 54,999 |
| 12GB + 512GB | Rs. 59,999 |
| 16GB + 512GB | Rs. 61,999 |
The phone is already on sale through the official OnePlus online store and Amazon in India. Color options remain unchanged, with Charcoal Black, Mint Breeze, and Electric Violet still available.
Performance hardware stays intact
Under the hood, the OnePlus 15R continues to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset built on a 3nm process. The octa-core chip has a peak clock speed of 3.8GHz and is paired with an Adreno 8 series GPU.
The device also supports LPDDR5x Ultra RAM up to 16GB and UFS 4.1 storage up to 512GB. OnePlus has additionally included a new G2 Wi-Fi chip and a Touch Response Chip to support connectivity and touch performance.
The software package is unchanged as well, with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16 running on the device. That keeps the new variant aligned with the rest of the OnePlus 15R family.
Large display, large battery
The OnePlus 15R features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution of 1,272 x 2,800 pixels. The panel supports a 165Hz refresh rate, 450 ppi density, and 100 percent DCI-P3 color coverage.
Protection comes from Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while the phone also carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Those certifications place it among the more durable phones in its class.
Battery life remains one of the phone’s biggest selling points. The handset is equipped with a 7,400mAh battery and supports 80W wired fast charging.
The phone measures 163.4 x 77 x 8.3 mm and weighs about 219 grams. That combination reflects a large-battery device that still aims to keep premium specifications intact.
Dual rear cameras and 4K 120 fps video
The camera system uses OnePlus’ DetailMax Engine and is built around a dual rear setup. The main sensor is a 50-megapixel unit with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization.
The second rear camera is an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a 112-degree field of view. For selfies and video calls, the phone carries a 32-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
Video recording support goes up to 4K at 120 fps, giving the OnePlus 15R a more flexible media package than many phones in its segment. For buyers focused on memory, battery size, and high refresh rate display performance, the new 16GB variant adds one more reason to look at the lineup.
