A complaint over the alleged fraud of an SPPG kitchen operating-point application has entered police hands in Lubuk Linggau. A local woman reported the case to Lubuk Linggau Police after she believed she had been deceived during the process of securing a promised kitchen location.
The case has drawn attention because it involves a business plan tied to SPPG operations, with a location supposedly being arranged through someone who claimed to be able to help determine the site. The promised point never materialized after the complainant handed over money said to be required for administrative processing.
Promised location, then payment request
Information circulating locally says the woman originally intended to run an SPPG business. During that process, she met someone who allegedly could handle the point determination and was then promised a kitchen location in Musi Rawas Regency.
After an agreement was reached, she was allegedly asked to provide money for administrative handling of the kitchen point. The amount paid was said to reach tens of millions of rupiah, although no further exact figure was disclosed.
Report accepted by Lubuk Linggau Police
When there was still no clarity on the promised SPPG location, the complainant took the matter to Lubuk Linggau Police. The report was later confirmed by local police officials.
AKP Kurniawan Azwar, Head of Criminal Investigation at Lubuk Linggau Police, said the report had been received. He added that the case is now under investigation.
Police have started examining witnesses
Lubuk Linggau Police has also summoned the parties involved for questioning. AKP Kurniawan Azwar said there is currently only one reported suspect.
The investigation marks the beginning of efforts to trace the alleged fraud in the application for the SPPG kitchen operating point. So far, there has been no further explanation on the results of questioning or the case’s procedural status.
Scrutiny on the kitchen point process
The case has also put the SPPG kitchen point arrangement process under scrutiny, as it is seen as the alleged entry point for the fraud. The promised location in Musi Rawas Regency and the request for administrative money are now at the center of the complaint.
There has been no confirmation from related parties on whether there was an official process involved in arranging the point. What is clear is that the report has been filed and the investigation is ongoing at Lubuk Linggau Police.
