OPPO is preparing to launch the Reno16 Series in Indonesia on 3 July 2026, with three models set to arrive at once: Reno16 Pro 5G, Reno16 5G, and Reno16 F 5G. The lineup is aimed squarely at young users who create and share content across social media.
Rather than relying only on camera hardware, OPPO is using design, AI tools, and a smarter ColorOS experience as the main points of distinction. That approach makes the Reno16 Series feel built for mobile-first content work, not just everyday phone use.
A more striking body design
The most eye-catching update is the new 3D Planet Design. OPPO describes it as an industry-first smartphone design, with a three-dimensional planet-like effect that appears to rise from the body surface.
The effect changes with viewing angle and light reflection, while the phone is still designed to remain compact and comfortable to hold. The result is a device that aims to stand out visually without becoming awkward in daily use.
AI features focused on content creation
OPPO has also added several AI-powered camera tools to make content creation easier directly from the phone. One of them is AI Collage Mix, which can combine multiple photos or videos into a single composition.
Other features include Pop Cam and AI Pop Out 2.0. These tools add more creative visual effects, including a subject that appears to break out of the frame for a more dynamic final look.
For selfies and video, the Reno16 Series comes with a 50MP Ultra-Wide front camera. OPPO has also included Video 4K Ultra Stable to help keep footage steadier while moving.
OPPO says the features are already being used by Campus Influencers who documented their trip to South Korea. That detail suggests the company is pushing the camera tools as practical functions rather than simple showcase elements.
More personal AI through ColorOS
The company is also extending AI deeper into ColorOS, where AI Mind Pilot becomes one of the key additions. The feature lets users tap three AI models at once: Gemini, Perplexity, and ChatGPT.
Two more tools are aimed at daily convenience. AI Menu Translate helps users read foreign-language menus while traveling, while AI Bill Manager is designed to automatically track and manage everyday spending.
OPPO Bubble adds another layer to the ecosystem
Beyond the smartphones, OPPO is introducing a new IoT device called OPPO Bubble. It works as a second screen for previewing the main camera feed.
OPPO Bubble can also display dynamic wallpapers, giving the broader device ecosystem a more connected feel for users who want extra interaction beyond the phone itself.

With its new design language, stronger AI integration, and sizable launch incentives, the Reno16 Series is shaping up to be one of OPPO’s most notable releases this year. The combination suggests a clear push to appeal to users who care as much about content tools and visual identity as they do about core smartphone specs.
