Vivo is raising the stakes in the premium foldable segment with the X Fold 6, a device built around battery life, camera hardware, and high-end performance. The model is positioned as a serious challenge in a category where many phones still make trade-offs to stay thin and light.
The most striking part is not just one feature, but the way Vivo combines them. A large foldable display, a flagship-class chipset, Zeiss-tuned imaging, and a 7,000 mAh battery create a package that aims to stand out from the usual foldable formula.
Large displays with very high brightness
The main screen uses an 8.02-inch Samsung M14 LTPO AMOLED panel with 2K+ resolution, adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz, and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. Vivo pairs it with a 6.51-inch BOE LTPO AMOLED cover display with Full HD+ resolution.
Together, the two screens are designed to keep the phone practical whether it is folded or fully opened. The bright panel specifications also suggest a stronger focus on outdoor visibility and premium viewing quality.
Dimensity 9500 Super Edition powers the device
Under the hood, the X Fold 6 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition built on a 3 nm process. It is matched with an Arm Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU, giving the phone the hardware needed for demanding apps and graphics-heavy tasks.
Vivo also adds its own communication chip setup, including one global signal amplifier and four Wi-Fi chips. The company says this arrangement is intended to keep connectivity stable across different usage scenarios.
Zeiss-branded 200 MP camera system
Photography is one of the clearest selling points on the X Fold 6. Vivo works with Zeiss and includes the Vivo V3+ imaging chip to strengthen photo output and image processing.
The rear camera setup is led by a Samsung HPB 200 MP main sensor with OIS. It is joined by a Sony LYT602 50 MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and a 50 MP ultrawide camera.
| Camera | Specification | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Main | Samsung HPB 200 MP with OIS | Primary imaging |
| Telephoto | Sony LYT602 50 MP, 3x optical zoom | Zoom shots |
| Ultrawide | 50 MP | Wide-angle capture |
7,000 mAh battery for longer endurance
Battery capacity is another major headline. Vivo equips the X Fold 6 with a third-generation semi-solid-state battery rated at 7,000 mAh, which is unusually large for a foldable phone.
Charging support includes 80W FlashCharge and 40W wireless charging. That combination gives users more flexibility for quick top-ups during a busy day.
Built for tougher conditions
Vivo is also pushing durability as part of the package. The X Fold 6 carries IP5X, IPX8, and IPX9 certifications for dust and water protection.
The company further claims the device can withstand temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius. In the premium foldable market, that kind of resilience adds another layer of appeal beyond raw specifications.
OriginOS 6 Fold focuses on productivity
On the software side, the phone runs OriginOS 6 Fold and introduces a new productivity feature called Atomic Workbench. The feature is aimed at making multitasking easier on a foldable screen.
That direction shows Vivo is not only chasing benchmark numbers and camera hardware. It is also trying to make the large display more useful for work, media, and everyday switching between tasks.
China launch and available colors
The Vivo X Fold 6 is scheduled to go on sale in China on 1 July 2026. It will be offered in several memory configurations and three color options: Blue Hole, Salt Lake, and Polar Night.
There is still no official information about a global release or an Indonesia launch. Even so, the combination of a 200 MP camera, a 7,000 mAh battery, and premium foldable hardware makes the device an immediate talking point in the upper-end foldable category.
