Anker’s Tiny 45W Charger Puts Battery Health Before Raw Speed

Anker has brought the Nano 45W Smart Display Charger to Indonesia with a pitch that goes beyond fast charging. The compact device is designed to balance speed, safety, and longer battery health in a single charger.

The move comes as more smartphone users pay closer attention to how charging habits affect battery lifespan. For many owners of premium phones, the goal is no longer just to fill the battery quickly, but to avoid faster degradation over time.

Care Mode targets heat, not just power

According to Anker, excessive heat during charging remains one of the main causes of battery wear. To address that, the company equips the Nano 45W with Care Mode, which adjusts charging more intelligently for compatible devices.

Anker says the feature supports a range of newer devices, including iPhone 15, iPhone 16, iPhone 17 Series, and the latest iPad Pro. The charger is meant to recognize supported devices and automatically tailor the power it delivers.

Anker says internal testing and TÜV certification indicate charging temperatures can be reduced by around 5 degrees Celsius compared with a conventional 45W charger. The company argues that this matters because heat is closely tied to battery health.

Flame Xia, Country Director Anker Innovations Indonesia, said consumer expectations have changed and users now want batteries that stay healthy over the long term, not only fast refills. He said Care Mode is intended to create a better balance between charging performance and protection.

Fast charging remains part of the package

The focus on battery protection does not mean the charger gives up speed. Anker says the Nano 45W can charge an iPhone 17 Pro to 50% in about 20 minutes based on internal testing.

That positioning makes the product relevant for users who want quicker top-ups during a busy day while still paying attention to charging conditions. It is also aimed at those who often leave phones plugged in overnight.

The charger also includes a Smart Display, a small digital screen that shows charging data in real time. Users can monitor the status directly and switch modes or adjust the screen orientation depending on how the charger is positioned.

Small size, portable design

Anker relies on GaN technology to keep the body compact without sacrificing charging capability. The company claims the Nano 45W is about 47% smaller and 36% lighter than a bundled charger with a similar rating.

That makes the device easier to carry for people who move between home, office, and travel frequently. Anker says the form factor is meant for users with high mobility who still want a premium charging experience.

With its small size, 45W output, Smart Display, and Care Mode, the Nano 45W is positioned as a more functional charger rather than just a faster one. The product is now available in Indonesia through Anker’s official stores on Shopee, Tokopedia, TikTok Shop, and Blibli, with a price of Rp385.000.
