Samsung has added another midrange option to its India lineup with the Galaxy A27 5G, a phone that tries to stand out through a 120 Hz Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 performance, and unusually long software support. For buyers in this segment, that combination is likely to matter more than a simple spec sheet alone.
The device sits below the Galaxy A37 5G in Samsung’s portfolio, but it still carries several features that are usually associated with more expensive models. Its six-year Android and security update promise may be the most important part of the package for users planning to keep a phone for a long time.
Display and durability take the lead
The Galaxy A27 5G uses a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Samsung says the screen reaches 1,200 nits in HBM mode and up to 1,900 nits at peak brightness.
Protection comes from Gorilla Glass Victus+, while the phone also carries an IP64 rating and stereo speakers. That mix should appeal to users who care about smooth scrolling, outdoor visibility, and everyday durability.

Samsung is offering the Galaxy A27 5G in three memory variants in India. The 6 GB + 128 GB model is priced at Rs 28,999, the 8 GB + 128 GB version costs Rs 31,999, and the 8 GB + 256 GB variant is listed at Rs 37,499.
The phone comes in Black, Light Green, and Light Pink, with sales starting on July 3, 2026 through major e-commerce platforms and Samsung India’s official website. Launch offers include bank discounts and a Rs 3,000 UPI cashback, which lowers the effective cost for early buyers.
With its display, protection, camera setup, and long update commitment, the Galaxy A27 5G enters a crowded midrange field that already includes the Galaxy M47 5G, the newly launched OnePlus N6, and other phones in a similar price range. Samsung is clearly betting that longevity will be as important as raw specifications.
