Acer Sospiro A15 Brings a Rear Display, and Selfies Can Use Its 64MP Camera

Acer has returned to the phone market with a device that does not follow the usual formula. The Sospiro A15 combines a rear display, Android 16, and a 64MP main camera in a design aimed at select markets in Latin America.

The most unusual part is the small screen on the back, which changes how the phone handles notifications, music controls, and selfies. Instead of relying only on the front camera, users can use the rear display as a viewfinder and shoot self-portraits with the main camera.

A rear screen designed for more than decoration

The Acer Sospiro A15 uses a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS main display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop notch. On the back, a 1.88-inch TFT screen can show notifications, manage music playback, and assist with selfie framing.

That setup gives the phone a more practical twist than a standard dual-camera phone. It also creates a stronger selfie option, since the 64MP AI dual rear camera can be used for front-facing shots with the help of the rear screen.

Unisoc power and no 5G support

Under the hood, Acer chose the Unisoc T615, which means the Sospiro A15 does not support 5G connectivity. The phone comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, plus virtual RAM expansion of up to 14GB by borrowing 8GB from unused storage.

Storage can also be expanded with a microSD card of up to 1TB, giving buyers more room for apps and media. The device runs Android 16 from the start and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

Connectivity and protection round out the package

Acer Mobile LATAM says the phone also includes dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, VoLTE, ViLTE, FM radio, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Security and convenience features include a side-mounted fingerprint reader and face unlock.

The Sospiro A15 also carries an IP64 rating for resistance to dust and splashes. That gives the phone a level of protection that fits its practical positioning, even if it is not built for full water resistance.

Latin America is the first target, but pricing is still unknown

For now, Acer has said only that the Sospiro A15 will arrive in selected Latin American markets, including Mexico. The company has not announced pricing or a sales schedule yet.

The color options shown on the official site are Naranja Vibrante and Azul Profundo. With its dual-screen approach and 64MP camera setup, the Sospiro A15 is clearly designed to stand out in a crowded budget-friendly segment.
