Motorola is not entering the Indonesian foldable market quietly. The Razr Fold arrives with a large 8.09-inch inner display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a 6,000 mAh battery, and a launch package that includes hardware extras and service perks.

The appeal is not limited to the hardware. Motorola is pairing the device’s premium positioning with a pre-order discount that is far below the official price, plus a bonus package valued at up to Rp 10.7 million.

A thin body, a bright outer screen, and IP49 protection

The Razr Fold uses a book-style foldable design with a 4.55 mm thickness when open and 9.89 mm when folded. It weighs 243 grams and carries IP49 certification for protection against dust and splashes.

It is available in two Pantone colors, Lily White and Blackened Blue. On the outside, the phone uses a 6.6-inch OLED cover display with a 2,520 x 1,080 resolution, a 165 Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 6,000 nits.

When opened, the LTPO OLED inner panel measures 8.09 inches and offers a 2,484 x 2,232 resolution. Motorola says the display supports an adaptive 1-120 Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 6,200 nits of brightness, placing it among the brightest foldable screens in its class.

Performance, cameras, and bundled extras

Motorola equips the device with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 non-Elite, paired with 12 GB or 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage options include 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB.

The Razr Fold runs Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UI. It also supports split-screen multitasking, desktop mode through USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 with DisplayPort 1.2, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

The company also includes the Moto Pen Ultra in the sales package. The stylus supports pressure sensitivity, tilt detection, palm rejection, and AI features such as Circle to Search, Quick Clips, and AI Sketch to Image.

On the rear, Motorola fits three 50 MP cameras. The setup consists of a Sony Lytia 828 main camera with OIS, a 122-degree ultra-wide camera with macro support, and a 3x optical zoom periscope telephoto camera with OIS.

Video recording goes up to 8K at 30fps and 4K at 60fps with Dolby Vision. For selfies, Motorola provides a 32 MP camera on the cover screen and a 20 MP camera on the inner display.
