The leak also points to a 2,150mAh battery for the DJI Osmo 360 II. That would be an increase from the 1,950mAh battery used by the first-generation DJI Osmo 360.
The battery information appears in FCC documentation for a device carrying the model number OQ002. A larger capacity could provide longer recording time before charging or replacing the battery becomes necessary.
Actual recording endurance remains unknown because no official battery-life figures have been disclosed. The available information therefore does not establish how much practical runtime the 200mAh increase may deliver.

Prototype Retains a Familiar Look
Images of the prototype show a square-shaped body that closely resembles the original model. The lens arrangement also appears to have changed little based on the images currently circulating.
That visual continuity does not necessarily mean the successor will offer only minor changes. The reported battery increase and NFC support suggest that DJI may be prioritizing daily usability improvements.
Information about the prototype initially emerged through leaker TheNewCamera. Gizmochina also highlighted the device’s appearance in FCC records, although the filing does not reveal a full specifications list or a launch schedule.
The First Model Sets a High Baseline
DJI launched the first Osmo 360 in July 2025 with a 1-inch square sensor. It supported native 8K panoramic video at 50fps and panoramic photos up to 120MP.
Those specifications provide a substantial foundation for a successor aimed at users who need high-resolution 360-degree capture. The current leak, however, does not indicate whether the Osmo 360 II will change its sensor, video resolution, or panoramic photo capability.
The original Osmo 360 reportedly appeared in certification records before DJI introduced it several months later. This time, FCC documentation has been joined by real-world use images and field-test footage of the alleged new model.
