Motorola has begun distributing the Android 17 beta to three phones, though the release remains restricted to selected markets. The initial rollout covers India, Brazil, and the EMEA region, leaving users elsewhere waiting for a later wave.
Motorola Signature, Moto G57 Power, and Motorola Edge 70 are the first devices to receive access. The update package is about 4GB, making available storage space and a suitable connection important before downloading it.

Motorola Signature was the first model to receive the update last week. Access was subsequently extended to the Moto G57 Power and Motorola Edge 70.
The staged availability means owners of the same handset may not see the update at the same time. Regional eligibility and Motorola’s gradual distribution process can affect when the beta appears on an individual device.
Visual Changes in Android 17
The early Android 17 beta introduces several noticeable interface revisions. These include new lock-screen clock options and a redesigned notification panel and control center.
The Settings page has also received an update. Volume controls now use a refreshed mixer layout.
Live Activities support now covers calls, music, and the flashlight. The beta further includes improvements to the app drawer and system animations.
Motorola has not published a complete device-specific change log for the builds currently being distributed. As a result, the visible features may not represent every change contained in the beta software.
How to Check for the Update
Eligible users can open Settings > System updates and select Check for updates. The update will only appear when the device and its region have been included in the relevant release wave.
Motorola’s official MFN Beta Testing page can be used to check whether a device is included in the testing program. The page lists devices that are eligible to take part in the beta process.
According to Gizmochina, the rollout follows Motorola’s beta testing announcement in February. Registration had previously opened for more than a dozen phones after Google released the first Android 17 beta.
Expansion to additional Motorola phones is expected over the coming days and weeks. Still, users should not expect immediate availability if their model or region is outside the initial rollout.
