Why OnePlus Pad 3 Makes AI Tools Easier to Reach Than Galaxy AI at Work

For tablet users handling documents, browser tabs, notes, and messages at once, the location of an AI tool can matter as much as the tool itself. After 30 days of use, the OnePlus Pad 3 stood out by placing its AI functions directly within a multitasking workflow.

Its AI Toolbox can be summoned with a swipe from the edge of the display while an app remains open. That approach gives users a quicker route to summarising content, drafting text, translating material, or listening to an article without repeatedly moving through app menus.

Designed around multitasking

The OnePlus Pad 3 uses Open Canvas, which supports up to three apps on screen at the same time. Its 13.2-inch 3.4K display with a 144Hz refresh rate provides enough workspace for documents, a browser, note-taking software, and communication apps.

This design makes the AI tools part of an active work session rather than an isolated destination within the interface. A report by techno.viva.co.id described the 30-day usage pattern as being centred more on documents and multitasking than on visual experimentation.

Galaxy AI Visual search and image editing Some productivity functions require app-menu navigation

Three tools for daily information work

AI Summary is intended to turn lengthy articles, work documents, and recorded conversations into key points. It is available from the Open Canvas side panel, removing the need to open a separate app to begin the summarising process.

Recording Summary extends that capability to audio material and voice conversations. It can help users identify the main discussion points when they receive information in lengthy formats.

AI Writer is positioned as an assistant for email drafts, business-message replies, and report outlines. Its tone options and direct keyboard integration allow an initial response to be prepared without copying text to another application.

AI Translation supports direct translation for users reading foreign-language material. AI Speaker can read web articles and documents aloud with a natural-sounding voice, offering an alternative when users do not want to keep looking at the display.

Hardware behind the AI workflow

The OnePlus Pad 3 is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite, whose Neural Processing Unit performance is stated to be up to 300 percent higher than the previous generation. According to the official OnePlus Global fact sheet, the tablet runs OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15.

The hardware and software combination is intended to keep AI commands responsive with minimal latency. A vapor chamber cooling system is also cited as support for stability under heavier workloads without disruptive throttling.

The tablet carries a 12,140 mAh battery and supports 80W SUPERVOOC charging for extended work sessions. Stylo 2 and Smart Keyboard add further options for writing, note-taking, and text-based AI tasks.

Galaxy AI remains strong in media manipulation through functions such as Circle to Search and Generative Edit. However, for users who prioritise rapid access to assistance while working across several apps, the OnePlus Pad 3 offers a more direct workflow through AI Toolbox and Open Canvas.
