Motorola has officially introduced two new mid-range 5G smartphones: the Moto G57 and Moto G57 Power. Both models are the first in the world to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 platform, signaling a strategic move to strengthen Motorola’s affordable 5G portfolio globally.
The Moto G57 and G57 Power share a large 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The screen supports peak brightness of up to 1050 nits, making it easy to view content even under direct sunlight.
To protect the display, Motorola uses Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which offers scratch resistance. For selfies, both phones have an 8MP front camera housed in a punch-hole at the top center of the screen.
On the rear, these phones feature a dual-camera setup with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor offering an f/1.8 aperture. This is complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture for capturing wider shots in various lighting conditions.
Performance-wise, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset pairs with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. This combination aims to provide smooth multitasking and fast app loading for everyday users.
Both devices run the latest Android 16 operating system, delivering the newest Google user experience. Security features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button. Connectivity options are comprehensive with 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C ports.
Motorola retains the classic 3.5mm headphone jack with these phones, which also come equipped with stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos support for an immersive audio experience.
In terms of durability, the Moto G57 and G57 Power offer IP64 certification for dust and splash resistance. They also meet MIL-STD 810H standards to withstand extreme conditions such as shocks and high temperatures.
The key difference between the two models lies in battery capacity. The Moto G57 has a 5200mAh battery, while the G57 Power features a larger 7000mAh battery that uses advanced silicon-carbon technology. Both support 30W TurboPower fast charging.
Physically, the Moto G57 Power measures 166.23 x 76.50 x 8.60 mm and weighs 210 grams, catering to users who prioritize extended battery life without compromising performance.
Motorola has collaborated with Pantone to provide a variety of trendy color options for both models. The Moto G57 is available in Regatta, Pink Lemonade, Corsair, and Fluidity, while the G57 Power comes in Meteorite, Pink Lemonade, Corsair, and Regatta shades.
Pricing starts at €249 (approximately $285) for the Moto G57, currently available in the Middle East. The Moto G57 Power costs €279 (around $320) and has launched in the European market. This pricing positions them competitively within the crowded mid-range smartphone segment.
Alongside these launches, Motorola also revealed the global debut of the Edge 70, a rebranded Moto X70 Air. The Edge 70 features a 6.67-inch pOLED display with Super HD resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. It is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset.
The Edge 70’s triple rear cameras include a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide lens capable of macro shots, and a 3-in-1 light sensor. Its 50MP front camera can record 4K video with AI enhancements.
These simultaneous launches demonstrate Motorola’s renewed focus on delivering diverse options across price points. By integrating Qualcomm’s latest chipsets, improved cameras, and solid battery life, Motorola aims to provide strong value for consumers seeking reliable and modern mid-range smartphones.
The Moto G57 and G57 Power bring impressive features, durable design, and competitive pricing. They target users who want flagship-like experiences in an affordable 5G device. With availability now expanding, Motorola’s refreshed G series may easily attract mid-range buyers in various global markets.
