These models cater to consumers who prioritize powerful performance, extended battery life, and cutting-edge display technology. Positioned between the mid-range and premium segments, both devices feature high refresh rates, advanced camera algorithms, and robust battery capacities.
POCO F8 Ultra: Powerhouse with Advanced Display
The POCO F8 Ultra boasts a large 6.9-inch display supporting up to a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR mode. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which scores around 4 million points on AnTuTu benchmarks, indicating exceptional performance capabilities.
Additional processor features include the VisionBoost D8 engine for improved video rendering and AI Super Resolution for enhanced video sharpness. A massive 6500mAh battery provides extended usage, supported by an optimized fast charging system.
Design-wise, the device’s back panel features a nano fiber glass coating, notably in the Denim Blue variant, offering a smooth tactile feel. A matte black version is available for users who prefer a sleek, minimalist look. The camera setup enables 5x optical zoom and includes enhanced night mode algorithms for better color temperature balance in low light conditions, delivering consistent quality without manual adjustments.
POCO F8 Pro: Compact Performance with Bose Audio
The POCO F8 Pro is a more compact option with a 6.59-inch screen. It uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset (non-Gen 5 version) that still delivers strong computing power suitable for gaming and multitasking. Its 6210mAh battery marks a significant upgrade over previous F series models.
This model stands out by integrating a quad-speaker configuration developed in collaboration with Bose. The setup supports Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio technologies, promising an immersive and high-quality audio experience. The single-piece glass back is manufactured seamlessly, with precise curvature aligning the frame and panel for a premium feel.
HyperOS 3 and Key Features
Both POCO F8 models run Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3, offering advanced features such as HyperIsland for enhanced multitasking, improved gesture control, notification management, and optimized low-light display behavior.
The devices showcase adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz and the capability to display 68 billion colors, ensuring accurate visuals during gaming, media consumption, and everyday use. AI scene detection advances camera functionality, with the Ultra model allowing lens switching between telephoto and wide-angle. The Pro model uses software-enhanced zoom and image balancing algorithms for competitive photographic results.
