Samsung Prepares Affordable AI Tablet with Official Release Date Announced

Samsung is set to launch a new affordable AI-powered tablet, the Galaxy Tab A11+, targeting the mid-range market in India. The official release date is scheduled for November 28, 2025, as confirmed by Samsung’s announcements and pre-order listings on its Indian website.

The Galaxy Tab A11+ is equipped with a MediaTek MT8775 processor built on an advanced 4 nm process. This chip offers improved power efficiency and performance compared to previous generations. Running on One UI 8.0 based on Android, the tablet benefits from extended software support, ensuring long-term usability.

Regarding memory and storage, Samsung offers two configurations: 6 GB RAM with 128 GB internal storage, and 8 GB RAM with 256 GB storage. Both models support microSD card expansion up to 2 TB, enabling users to significantly increase storage capacity for apps, media, and documents.

Display and Battery

The device features an 11-inch TFT display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels (WUXGA). A 90 Hz refresh rate offers smoother scrolling and video playback, enhancing user experience without heavily impacting battery life. Powering the tablet is a robust 7,040 mAh battery supported by 25W fast charging, which helps reduce downtime.

Camera and Audio

Samsung has included an 8 MP rear camera for basic photography and video recording. A front-facing 5 MP camera is provided primarily for video calls. The tablet also incorporates four speakers to deliver immersive audio quality, an important feature for multimedia consumption and virtual meetings.

AI Features for Learning and Productivity

A highlight of the Galaxy Tab A11+ is its integration of sophisticated AI tools tailored for students and professionals. These include:

  1. Google Gemini – An AI assistant allowing users to obtain answers via voice or text commands seamlessly.
  2. Circle to Search – Users can circle an object on the screen to instantly search for related information without leaving the current app.
  3. Solve Math in Samsung Notes – This feature solves written mathematical equations step-by-step, making it ideal for educational use.

These AI-driven enhancements promote interactive digital note-taking and streamline learning and work tasks.

Connectivity and Additional Specs

The tablet supports Bluetooth 5.3, includes a USB-C port for charging and data transfer, and retains a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio. It will be available in Gray and Silver color options. The weight of the higher-end 8 GB/256 GB version is approximately 477 grams, making it reasonably portable.

Pricing and Availability

Although Samsung has not officially disclosed pricing for the Indian market, European prices suggest a competitive range. The 128 GB variant is priced at about EUR 329 (~$360), and the 256 GB version around EUR 389 (~$425). If Samsung applies similar pricing in India, the Galaxy Tab A11+ will stand out as an affordable AI tablet in its segment.

The device is already listed for pre-order on Samsung India’s website, establishing anticipation ahead of its late November launch.

Market Positioning and Considerations

Samsung’s strategy with the Galaxy Tab A11+ is to strengthen its foothold in the crowded mid-range tablet market, especially in India. Competing against entry-level iPads and other Android tablets, its unique combination of AI features, sizable RAM, large expandable storage, and efficient processor create a compelling value proposition.

While the TFT screen technology and 90 Hz refresh rate may not match premium OLED panels’ visual quality or the highest refresh rate tablets, these choices help maintain affordability and extend battery life.

The Galaxy Tab A11+ embodies Samsung’s move to democratize AI by embedding smart tools into budget-friendly tablets. This approach is likely to attract students and hybrid workers eager for smart, versatile devices without breaking the bank.
