Vivo S50 Pro Mini to Launch Next Month as Global X300 FE Model

Vivo is set to launch the Vivo S50 Pro Mini next month in China. This model will carry the name Vivo X300 FE for the global market, marking its international debut under a different branding.

The S50 Pro Mini features a horizontal camera bar on the back that holds three lenses and an LED flash. The main camera uses a large sensor paired with an ultra-wide lens and a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens, ensuring versatile photography capabilities.

The front of the device sports a flat OLED screen measuring 6.31 inches with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. For selfies, it offers a 50MP front camera, and the display integrates an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor beneath the screen for enhanced security.

Powering the device is the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. It is complemented by LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, and a large 6,500mAh battery that supports fast wired charging at 90W and wireless charging at 40W, providing impressive power options.

The Vivo S50 Pro Mini runs on Android 16 with the OriginOS 6 interface layered on top. Additional premium features include dual stereo speakers, an x-axis linear motor for haptics, aerospace-grade metal framing, and IP68/IP69-rated dust and water resistance.

In addition to the Pro Mini, Vivo will launch a standard S50 model next month. This version uses a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, offers up to 16GB of RAM, and features a larger 6.59-inch OLED display with the same 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

The standard S50 has a noticeably different rear design compared to the S50 Pro Mini. This differentiation highlights Vivo’s strategy to segment the market with the Pro Mini focused on compact, high-performance experience, and the S50 standard balancing solid specs with a larger size.
