BRILink Expands Access with 7,405 Offices and 1.2 Million Agents Reaching Remote Areas

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) continues to expand its financial services across Indonesia, reaching the most remote areas through a robust network of physical offices and partners. As of October 2025, BRI operates 7,405 branches nationwide and collaborates with approximately 1.2 million AgenBRILink agents.

AgenBRILink acts as a vital extension of BRI’s services, facilitating access to banking for communities spread across 66,649 villages. This coverage represents more than 80% of all villages in Indonesia, bringing financial services closer to grassroots levels.

Through this agent network, BRI has supported a staggering 913 million financial transactions, with total transaction volumes amounting to approximately $96 billion (Rp1,440 trillion). This showcases how AgenBRILink plays a crucial role in driving economic activity among local populations.

BRI’s physical branches continue to serve as the backbone for comprehensive banking needs. These 7,405 offices are essential for providing services that require direct face-to-face assistance, particularly for more complex banking activities.

To complement the extensive physical network, BRI has also heavily invested in digital infrastructure. By September 2025, the bank had deployed over 687,000 channels, including ATMs, Cash Recycling Machines (CRMs), and payment merchants, enabling customers to perform transactions anytime.

The shift towards digital banking is evident, as digital transactions now account for 99.4% of BRI’s total transaction volume. This demonstrates growing consumer confidence in BRI’s 24/7 electronic services, which cover even the most remote locations.

According to Dhanny, Corporate Secretary of BRI, the bank prioritizes system reliability to ensure that all transaction channels operate smoothly. BRI’s ongoing commitment is to deliver uninterrupted services across every touchpoint to meet the evolving needs of its customers.

This multi-channel approach—balancing robust physical offices with a vast agent network and a comprehensive digital platform—strengthens financial inclusion throughout Indonesia. By significantly lowering transaction costs and increasing accessibility, BRI effectively supports local economies and helps accelerate economic activities in rural areas.

The partnership model with AgenBRILink has proven successful in making banking more affordable and accessible. It also supports job creation by empowering agents in the communities where they operate.

BRI’s presence across Indonesia aligns with its mission on the verge of its 130th anniversary: to foster economic empowerment, promote financial literacy, and expand access to banking services nationwide. The bank’s strategy exemplifies a sustained commitment to inclusive banking tailored to Indonesia’s diverse geography and population needs.

As banking needs continue to evolve, BRI is poised to enhance its digital and physical networks further. This ensures that no matter where Indonesians live, they have secure, efficient, and reliable access to essential financial services.
