FEVOSH 2025 Regional Sumsel: Astra Motor Prepares Quality Automotive Human Resources
PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) in collaboration with Astra Motor Sumatera Selatan held the Festival Vokasi Satu Hati (FEVOSH) 2025 regional event for South Sumatra on November 10, 2025. The event targets vocational high schools specializing in Motorcycle Engineering (SMK TSM) to enhance the quality and readiness of students and teachers for the automotive industry.
This initiative aligns with Astra Motor’s ongoing commitment to strengthening vocational education and preparing competent automotive workers to meet industry demands. Sixteen partner SMK TSM institutions participated, each selecting eight top students and eight outstanding teachers after a rigorous selection process.
Competency Tests Aligned with Industry Standards
Students underwent various competency tests that included precise measurement tool usage, routine motorcycle maintenance procedures, and repair tasks aligned with official Honda workshop standards. Certified instructors assessed every participant to ensure the evaluation’s accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
Teachers were appraised on pedagogical skills such as interactive teaching methods, clarity of subject delivery, effective learning strategies, and classroom management tailored to students’ needs. This dual focus emphasizes comprehensive human resource development in vocational training.

After the regional finals, the winners were announced as follows:

- Dwi Ramadana – SMK Muhammadiyah Belitang
- Saputra Appanda – SMK Muhammadiyah Pagaralam
- Yoel Fabio Akuila – SMK Utama Bakti Palembang
Teachers Category:
- Ega Mufliqune, S.Pd – SMK Muhammadiyah Belitang
- Wendra Saputra, S.Pd – SMK Negeri 1 Banyuasin III
- Romansyah, S.Pd – SMK Utama Bakti Palembang
The first-place winners in each category will represent South Sumatra in the national level FEVOSH 2026. They are scheduled for an intensive training program from December 2025 to February 2026 to enhance their skills before competing nationally.
Astra Motor’s Vision for Vocational Education Advancement
Dicky Maulana, Technical Service Manager at Astra Motor Sumatra Selatan, highlighted that FEVOSH is more than a competition; it is a platform for collaborative learning. He stated it aims to ensure graduates possess competencies demanded by the industry.
Trainer Tri Iwantoro added that the goal is to improve both achievement and equitable competency across all partner vocational schools. The program is designed to develop skilled, professional, and competent human resources in the automotive sector.

The event also underscores efforts to bridge education with relevant industry needs, fostering a future-ready talent pipeline at the regional and national level.
