Xiaomi 17 Ultra Design Leaked: Official Launch Scheduled This Holiday Season

The design of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has been revealed ahead of its scheduled launch on December 25, 2025, in China. This upcoming flagship continues Xiaomi’s partnership with Leica, promising advanced camera technology.

The smartphone will be available in Black and White colors. Its rear features a circular camera module with the Leica logo centered, while the “Ultra” branding appears at the upper-left corner. The volume buttons are redesigned as separate circular buttons for an improved user experience.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra showcases a flat display with sleek rounded corners, contributing to a cleaner overall look. The rear camera bump is reportedly smaller than its predecessor, and the device omits a secondary rear display screen seen in earlier models.

According to Gizmochina, the phone is equipped with a triple-camera setup. Its main sensor is a 1-inch Omnivision OV50X, enhanced with advanced LOFIC technology to capture better dynamic range in challenging scenes such as fireworks or low-light environments.

A standout feature is the 200MP periscope telephoto lens from Samsung, certified by Leica with APO optical standards. This module supports continuous optical zoom, delivering sharp macro shots and superior clarity at long distances.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It houses a 6,800mAh battery supporting 100W wired and 80W wireless charging capabilities, ensuring fast and convenient recharging.

Additional features include dust and water resistance, ultra-wideband support, and satellite connectivity available in higher-end variants. The device is priced at CNY 6,999, approximately $950 USD.

This release positions Xiaomi 17 Ultra as a premium flagship with significant advancements in camera technology and performance ahead of year-end.
