OnePlus has officially launched its latest smartphone, the OnePlus 15R, in India. The device is priced starting at ₹49,999, which is approximately $340, for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The OnePlus 15R is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, delivering high-end performance aimed at daily users and gamers. OnePlus highlights its advanced Cryo-Velocity cooling system, which is 20% more efficient than the previous generation, ensuring the device stays cool under heavy use.
The phone features a 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness reaching 4500 nits. It also includes Aqua Touch technology, allowing the screen to remain responsive even when wet.
Camera capabilities include a triple rear setup with a 50MP main sensor equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, users will find a 16MP selfie camera that benefits from improved night photography and video processing algorithms.
Battery life is supported by a large 5500mAh battery that can last a full day of usage. The OnePlus 15R supports SUPERVOOC 100W fast charging, capable of charging the device from zero to 100% in just about 26 minutes.
The smartphone is available in two colors: Midnight Black and Ocean Blue. India’s first sale began on December 25, 2025, via Flipkart and OnePlus’s official website.
OnePlus 15R is positioned strategically for the mid-range to high-end segment. It competes with flagship-grade smartphones offered by other brands at a similar price point. The launch in India usually signals preparation for rollout into global markets, including Indonesia.
While no official date has been announced for Indonesia, the OnePlus 15R’s local debut might follow soon after India’s release. The device’s combination of top-tier chipset, premium display, large battery, and rapid charging presents a compelling option for consumers seeking strong performance at a reasonable price.
OnePlus continues to diversify its product lineup, complementing the recently surfaced OnePlus 15T, rumored to have an even larger battery capacity. This broadens customer choices between high-performance and battery-focused models.
Overall, the OnePlus 15R aims to strengthen OnePlus’s presence in competitive markets by offering flagship-like features with an accessible price, continuing the company’s trend of delivering value-packed smartphones in 2025.
