Honor is gearing up to launch its new Win series in China, and key camera details have surfaced just days before the official reveal. The highlight is a powerful Sony 50-megapixel sensor that will anchor the camera system, signaling a strong emphasis on photography capabilities.
Camera Setup of Honor Win and Win RT
The standard Honor Win features a triple rear camera configuration. It utilizes the Sony LYT700 50MP sensor with a 1/1.56-inch size as the main camera. Accompanying it is a 12MP secondary camera plus a telephoto periscope lens with a Sony IMX856 50MP sensor sized 1/2.51 inch. This periscope camera supports 3x optical zoom, catering to distant photography needs.
Meanwhile, the Honor Win RT offers a more straightforward camera setup. It shares the same primary 50MP Sony sensor and 12MP secondary lens but lacks the periscope telephoto module. This makes the Win RT a more compact option for users who do not prioritize long-range zoom features.
Both models are equipped with a 50MP front camera sensor. This high resolution aims to deliver sharp selfie shots and improved video call quality, addressing the growing consumer demand for better front-camera performance.
Display, Performance, and Battery Features
In addition to camera specs, the phones have a body width of about 76.6 mm and include an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint scanner. The display uses high-frequency PWM dimming at 5920Hz, helping reduce eye strain during prolonged usage.
The Honor Win runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset fabricated with a 3nm process, targeting premium-level performance suited for multitasking and intensive applications. The Win RT is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, also designed for high performance but targeting a slightly different user segment.
The standard Win model boasts a 6.83-inch 1.5K resolution screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth visuals for entertainment and daily tasks. Battery capacity for both models stands at 8,000mAh and supports 100W fast wired charging. This combination should significantly reduce charging times and prolong usage durations.
Honor plans to officially launch the Win series on December 26th at 14:30 local time in China. Pre-orders have already started, offering various color and memory options. While most of the specifications are widely leaked, the company has yet to confirm all details, which will be disclosed at the official event.
