Exclusive Look at the New Anniversary Edition Huawei Watch 5: Design and Features Revealed

Huawei has officially launched the Huawei Watch 5 10th Anniversary Edition, marking a decade of the company’s journey in the smartwatch industry. This special edition was introduced in China, highlighting a symbolic milestone with a focus on exclusive design elements rather than major hardware upgrades.

The standout feature of this anniversary edition lies in its unique design details. It sports an exclusive nylon composite woven strap that is not available on the regular Watch 5 models. The strap prominently features a “10 Year” logo, underscoring its collectible nature. Additionally, the crown of the watch also carries the same anniversary logo, giving the smartwatch a premium and exclusive look that honors Huawei’s decade-long innovation in wearables.

Huawei Watch 5 10th Anniversary Edition retains the classic, elegant form factor characteristic of the Watch 5 line. It comes in two casing sizes: 42mm and 46mm. This sizing flexibility allows users to choose a model that fits comfortably on their wrist while maintaining a sleek appearance suited for different styles.

In terms of specifications, Huawei has maintained the core hardware without changes. The smartwatch continues to feature a sharp and efficient LTPO AMOLED display, known for its bright visuals and power-saving capabilities. The screen is protected by sapphire glass, which enhances durability against daily wear and scratches.

For health monitoring, the Watch 5 includes the famous X-Tap sensor supporting a wide spectrum of biometric tracking. Users can benefit from features such as Electrocardiogram (ECG), Photoplethysmography (PPG), and Heart Rate Variability (HRV) measurements. These sensors make the device not only a stylish accessory but also a comprehensive health companion.

Connectivity remains robust with integrated eSIM support. This allows users to make calls and receive messages independently without needing to stay tethered to a smartphone. Such a feature is especially advantageous for those with busy lifestyles or who prefer to stay connected on the go.

Huawei Watch 5 also offers extensive activity tracking with over 100 sports modes available, catering to both indoor workouts and outdoor adventures. Battery life is competitive, lasting up to five days with Always-On Display enabled, and stretching to 11 days when operating in power-saving mode. This ensures users can rely on extended use between charges without compromising on performance.

Alongside the Watch 5 anniversary edition, Huawei also introduced a new color option called Ice Blue for the Watch GT 6, available in a 41mm size. This new variant features a fluorine rubber strap designed for comfort and a sporty aesthetic. Despite the new color, the specifications remain unchanged, maintaining the AMOLED 1.32-inch display, TrueSense health system, and a seven-day battery life.

Pricing for the Huawei Watch 5 10th Anniversary Edition is set at approximately $418 for the 42mm variant and about $433 for the 46mm model. The Watch GT 6 Ice Blue 41mm is priced around $214. These watches were made available in the China market starting January 1st. Although availability in other countries, including Indonesia, has not been officially confirmed, Huawei’s history suggests a good chance for a wider international release.

This launch highlights Huawei’s dedication to blending aesthetic refinement with practical functionality. The 10th Anniversary Edition appeals to loyal fans and collectors alike, emphasizing symbolic value while keeping the proven technology of the Watch 5 intact.
