Samsung has officially unveiled the Exynos 2600 as its new flagship chipset, aimed at powering the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. The development concentrates on enhanced performance, energy efficiency, and improved AI capabilities for modern mobile demands.

The most notable upgrade from the Exynos 2500 to the Exynos 2600 lies in fabrication technology. While the Exynos 2500 uses a 3nm process, the Exynos 2600 adopts an advanced 2nm Gate All Around technology. Samsung claims this shift results in 25 to 30 percent better power efficiency and helps maintain lower operating temperatures during heavy workloads.

CPU and GPU Architecture Advances

The CPU design has also evolved. The Exynos 2500 features an octa-core setup mixing high-performance and low-power cores. Its successor, the Exynos 2600, opts for ten high-performance cores without dedicated energy-saving cores. According to Samsung, this approach delivers a 39 percent uplift in CPU performance, benefiting multitasking and resource-heavy applications.
