Oppo has officially launched its latest tablet, the Oppo Pad Air5, in the Chinese market as of December 25, 2025. This new model continues the Pad Air series, following the Oppo Pad Air 2 released last year. The Pad Air5 introduces major upgrades particularly in screen size and battery capacity, two critical factors for tablet users.
The device features a 12.1-inch LCD panel, an increase over the previous 11.4-inch display. With a resolution of 2800 x 1980 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, the screen delivers sharp and smooth visuals. The display can reach a peak brightness of 900 nits, ensuring good visibility even under bright light. A special Soft Light variant with an anti-glare coating targets users who engage in long reading or work sessions by reducing reflections on the screen.
Enhanced Battery Life for Prolonged Use
Oppo Pad Air5 comes equipped with a substantial 10,050 mAh battery, a notable jump from the 8,000 mAh capacity of its predecessor. This large battery supports all-day usage scenarios such as video streaming, virtual meetings, and multitasking. The tablet also supports 33W fast charging technology, allowing quicker recharge times despite the higher battery capacity.
Powerful and Efficient Performance
At its core, the Pad Air5 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset. This processor balances power and energy efficiency, making it suitable for everyday tasks and light productivity. The tablet is available with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Such hardware ensures smooth multitasking and responsive performance for both work and entertainment applications.
Camera Setup for Video Conferencing Needs
Although not designed for photography, the Oppo Pad Air5 features an 8 MP camera on both the front and rear. Both cameras support 1080p video recording, making them adequate for video calls, online classes, and virtual meetings.
Software and Connectivity
Running ColorOS 16 based on Android, the Pad Air5 integrates AI-enhanced features aimed at boosting productivity and user experience. Connectivity options include WiFi 6, Bluetooth, USB-C, and 5G support on selected variants, enabling robust online activities and fast data transfers.
Pricing and Availability
The tablet comes in two colors: Starlight Powder and Space Gray, with a special Soft Light edition also available. Pricing details in China are as follows (converted to US dollars at approximate rate 1 yuan = 0.14 USD):
- WiFi 8GB RAM / 128GB Storage: $266

The Oppo Pad Air5 will officially go on sale in China starting December 31, 2025. Oppo has not yet announced plans for a global release or availability in Indonesia.
This latest addition to Oppo’s tablet lineup combines a larger, high-refresh-rate display with improved battery life and capable internals to meet the demands of both professional and casual users. Its specifications make it a competitive option in the mid-range tablet market segment, especially for those who value screen quality and lasting battery performance.
