Infinix Note Edge 5G Leak Reveals Ultra-Slim 6mm Tablet Launching Soon

Infinix is gearing up for a swift launch of the Infinix Note Edge 5G, scheduled for January 2026. Reliable insider Paras Guglani from Passionate Geeks recently leaked official renders and detailed specifications, confirming much of the anticipation surrounding this device. Following the successful leaks of the Note 60 Ultra and Pro models, this new reveal commands significant attention.

The Infinix Note Edge 5G will be among the earliest smartphone releases in 2026. It is set to hit multiple markets soon, with three other variants of the Note 60 series—bearing the model numbers X6878, X6887, and X6878—already certified by Indonesia’s SDPPI. A broader global rollout is expected shortly.

Slim and Premium Design

The leaked renders depict a premium slim device with a glass back and plastic frame. The camera module presents a rounded square design featuring two large lenses accented by metallic rings, giving the phone a refined look. Its design closely resembles the Samsung S26 Slim in aesthetics. Notably, the phone weighs only 150 grams and features an ultra-thin body measuring just 6mm in thickness. This lightweight, slim profile firmly positions it within the flagship slim series segment.

Display Features

The phone boasts a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K. It supports high brightness levels, reaching up to 4500 nits, which ensures excellent visibility in bright outdoor conditions. The display design includes modern rounded edges, typical of Infinix’s premium line. Additionally, it supports HDR10, Dolby Vision, and Widevine L1 certification, allowing users to stream Netflix content in full HD seamlessly. The screen is well-tailored for multimedia consumption and casual gaming experiences.

Performance and Hardware

Powering the Note Edge is the Mediatek Dimensity 7100 chipset. Although it is a tier below the Dimensity 7200 and Snapdragon 695, it delivers adequate performance for light to medium gaming at medium settings. Memory options include 8GB to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM paired with 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. These configurations are sufficient for smooth daily operations and multitasking.

Software and Updates

The device will run on Android 16 out of the box with Infinix’s XOS 16 overlay. A key benefit is the commitment to software longevity, with three guaranteed Android OS upgrades and five security updates. This support makes the Note Edge a viable option for users seeking a smartphone with extended usability without frequent replacements.

Camera Capabilities

The Note Edge carries a 50MP main sensor equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The front-facing camera offers 16MP, suitable for selfies and video calls. Both front and rear cameras can record 2K video at 30 frames per second, delivering sharper and more stable footage. These features combine to offer a versatile and competitive camera system for content creators and everyday users alike.

Comprehensive Features and Battery Life

Additional features include NFC, stereo speakers, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, IP64 certification, military-grade durability, in-display fingerprint sensor, and an IR blaster. However, the device omits a headphone jack and expandable memory slot, which may concern some users. The battery capacity is a generous 6500mAh, supported by 45W fast charging and a bypass charging feature designed to support prolonged gaming sessions.

Expected Pricing

Market speculation places the Infinix Note Edge 5G in the mid-range category, with pricing around 3 million Indonesian Rupiah or approximately $200 USD. This price point, combined with the feature set, could appeal strongly to budget-conscious consumers seeking a premium design and solid performance.

Overall, the Infinix Note Edge 5G represents a balanced offering with flagship-inspired design cues, enough power for everyday tasks and gaming, and robust software support. Its slim form factor and comprehensive feature package make it a notable entrant into the competitive 2026 smartphone market.
