Honor has officially launched the Honor Power2, a smartphone featuring an impressive 10,080 mAh battery. This marks a significant step in battery technology, as recent advances allow such high-capacity batteries to fit inside slim devices under 8 mm thick.
The Power2 uses silicon-carbon (Si/C) anode technology, enabling higher energy density without increasing size. According to Honor, this battery supports continuous use for over 20 hours. Users can expect approximately 26 hours of video playback, 17 hours of nonstop navigation, or 14 hours of gaming on a single charge.
Charging is also fast with an 80W wired charger included. The phone can serve as a power bank too, providing up to 27W output to recharge other devices. Despite the large battery, the Power2 retains a manageable form factor: only 7.98 mm thick and weighing 216 grams.
Display and Durability
The Honor Power2 sports a 6.79-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display can reach peak brightness levels up to 1,800 nits, allowing clear visibility even in bright outdoor environments. A 16MP front camera and an in-display fingerprint scanner are integrated into the front panel.
For protection, the device withstands water and dust with an IP68, IP69, and IP69K rating, which means it can resist immersion and high-pressure water jets, providing resilience for daily usage conditions.
Performance and Storage
Power2 is the first smartphone to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8500+ chipset. This octa-core processor uses ARM Cortex-A725 cores, running up to 3.4 GHz on the main core, supported by three cores at 3.2 GHz and four cores at 2.2 GHz. The GPU is the Mali-G720 MC8, making the phone competent in gaming and multimedia tasks.
According to benchmarks, the chipset scores over 2.4 million points on AnTuTu, highlighting strong performance for the mid-range segment. The phone comes with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and offers UFS 4.1 storage options of 256GB or 512GB.
Camera Setup and Software
The device boasts a 50MP main camera with an aperture of f/1.9, equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS) for clearer shots. It also includes a 5MP ultrawide lens to capture broader scenes. The software runs MagicOS 10 based on the latest Android 16, ensuring an up-to-date user experience.
