Oppo has officially expanded its Reno Series with the global launch of the Reno 15 Pro Max and Reno 15 Pro. These two models target the premium mid-range segment by delivering significant improvements in display quality, flagship-level cameras, latest chipset performance, and large battery capacities. Oppo also plans to release the Reno 15 and Reno 15F separately for broader lineup coverage.
Both devices feature distinct screen sizes and designs. The Reno 15 Pro Max sports a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This setup aims to provide an immersive and smooth visual experience for users. Meanwhile, the Reno 15 Pro offers a more compact form factor with a 6.32-inch AMOLED screen while maintaining the same 120Hz refresh rate. Both run on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 and carry IP68/IP69 certifications, ensuring protection against dust and water ingress.
Performance-wise, Oppo equips both smartphones with the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset. This advanced processor is teamed with 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM to guarantee smooth multitasking and fast app launches. The storage options differ slightly: the Reno 15 Pro Max comes with 512GB UFS 3.1 storage, whereas the Reno 15 Pro offers a 256GB UFS 3.1 variant. This combination provides high-speed data transfer and ample capacity for media and applications.
Camera capabilities stand out as a key highlight of the Reno 15 series. Both models incorporate a main 200-megapixel camera with autofocus and optical image stabilization (OIS). Complementing this setup is a 50MP periscope telephoto lens that offers 3.5x optical zoom along with OIS, ideal for detailed long-distance shots. Additionally, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor with autofocus enhances versatility for capturing wide scenes. For selfies and video calls, both phones feature a 50MP front camera equipped with autofocus, ensuring sharp and vibrant images.
Battery capacity and charging speed are further improvements. The Reno 15 Pro Max contains a 6,500mAh battery supporting 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. In contrast, the Reno 15 Pro uses a slightly smaller 6,200mAh battery but still supports 80W wired quick charging. Connectivity options on both devices include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB Type-C, dual SIM functionality, and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
Oppo clarifies that these global versions correspond to the previously China-released Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15 models, but with altered naming to better suit international markets.
Regarding pricing, the Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max is priced at approximately US$800 for the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model. It comes in color options Twilight Gold and Desert Brown. The Reno 15 Pro retails at around US$670 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, available in Aurora Blue and Desert Blue colors. These two models have started selling in Taiwan, with wider global availability expected soon.
