Huawei has officially launched its latest True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds, the FreeClip 2, in Indonesia. This new model is designed to offer a lighter, more comfortable listening experience compared to its predecessor.
The FreeClip 2 showcases significant upgrades in design, audio technology, and battery life to cater to users who seek convenience and premium quality in their daily audio devices.

Huawei has reduced the overall weight of the FreeClip 2 earbuds by up to 14 percent compared to the first generation. The charging case is also trimmed down by around 17 percent, making it easier to carry.
Adinda Agustina, Audio Campaign Manager of Huawei Device Indonesia, emphasized that the new earbuds feel so light they are barely noticeable both in the ear and in a bag. The FreeClip 2’s case features a New Denim Texture design, inspired by jeans material, available in blue, white, and black colors.
Enhanced Comfort for Extended Use
Each earbud weighs about 5.1 grams and has been crafted using skin-friendly liquid silicone that is 25 percent softer than the previous version. The earbuds are 11 percent smaller, improving comfort and reducing ear fatigue during long sessions.
Adinda highlighted a 9 percent weight reduction just in the earbuds alone, prescribing the device as suitable for diverse activities like work, sports, and travel, thanks to its ergonomic and compact form factor.
Superior Sound Powered by AI Technology
The audio system in FreeClip 2 includes dual-diaphragm drivers that can deliver volume levels up to 100 percent stronger than its forerunner. This results in clearer, more dynamic sound output during music playback or calls.
Huawei has integrated an AI-powered NPU processor to enhance noise cancellation. It automatically detects ambient noise and activates noise reduction using three microphones and deep neural network (DNN) algorithms. This ensures optimal call quality even in noisy environments.
Additionally, an adaptive volume feature adjusts the sound level based on surrounding noise, eliminating the need for manual volume changes.
Intuitive Gesture Controls
FreeClip 2 supports multiple gesture controls for ease of use without reaching for the phone. Users can:
- Double-tap to play or pause music
- Triple-tap to switch tracks
- Swipe to adjust volume
- Nod the head to answer calls
- Shake the head to reject calls
This hands-free approach helps maintain focus during physical activities or work.
Long-lasting Battery and Durability
The earbuds offer up to 9 hours of usage per single charge, while the charging case extends this total to approximately 38 hours. Furthermore, the FreeClip 2 carries an IP57 certification, making it resistant to dust and water splashes. This durability supports outdoor activities and workouts without worrying about damage.
