Huawei has officially launched the Nova 14 Pro smartphone in Indonesia, aiming to capture the premium mid-range market segment. The device will be available starting January 30, 2026, with a price tag of approximately Rp 8.5 million (around $560).
This model is not new globally; it was first introduced in China in May 2025 and later released worldwide in September 2025. The Nova 14 Pro serves as a direct successor to the Nova 13 Pro, boasting key upgrades especially in camera technology.
Advanced Ultra Chroma Camera Technology
The Huawei Nova 14 Pro stands out with its flagship-class Ultra Chroma Camera, a technology previously limited to Huawei’s high-end Pura and Mate series. This camera system uses up to 1,500,000 spectral channels to capture colors with great accuracy and lifelike vibrancy.
The primary camera features a 50 MP sensor with an RYYB filter and adjustable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0. This flexibility enables impressive photo quality in both bright and low-light conditions. The camera setup is enhanced with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and AI-based Image Stabilization to reduce blurriness in moving shots.
Supporting this is a 12 MP telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and an 8 MP ultrawide camera that captures expansive scenes. This combination ensures versatile shooting options on the mid-range device.
Dual Front Cameras with Flexible Zoom
On the front, the Nova 14 Pro incorporates a dual selfie camera configuration. The main front shooter is a 50 MP Ultra Portrait lens paired with an 8 MP close-up portrait camera.
These provide multi-focal zoom capabilities spanning from 0.8x to 5x. The phone features 2x optical zoom and up to 5x digital zoom on the front cameras, allowing users to take detailed close-up selfies without noticeable distortion.
Additional front camera features include PDAF focus and Ultra Speed Snapshot, which facilitate quick and accurate capture of moments without the need for extensive editing afterwards.
AI Features to Enhance Photography Experience
Huawei integrates several AI-powered functions to simplify photo capturing. One such feature is AI Best Expression, which selects the best facial expressions from multiple shots. Another, AI Remove, allows users to eliminate unwanted objects from photos with a single tap.
These tools highlight Huawei’s approach to combining powerful hardware with intelligent software, improving user experience and photo quality simultaneously.
Display and Design
The device sports a 6.78-inch OLED screen with a Flawless Quad-Curved design. It offers a high resolution of 1,224 x 2,776 pixels and supports a variable refresh rate (LTPO) up to 120Hz for smoother scrolling and gaming performance.
Physically, the phone measures 7.78 mm in thickness and weighs 207 grams, balancing a sleek profile with solid build quality. Buyers can choose between two colors: Crystal Blue with an ice crystal texture, and classic Black for a more refined look.
Performance and Battery Life
Under the hood is the octa-core Kirin 8020 chipset, which is paired with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. This hardware combination ensures smooth multitasking and efficient handling of demanding applications.
The large 5,500 mAh battery supports Huawei’s 100-watt SuperCharge Turbo technology, offering fast and efficient charging to keep the device powered throughout the day.
HarmonyOS and Ecosystem
Huawei Nova 14 Pro runs on HarmonyOS instead of Android, meaning Google Mobile Services (GMS) are not pre-installed. Instead, it uses Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) and allows app downloads via the Huawei AppGallery.
Connectivity features include dual SIM slots, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Availability and Purchase Incentives
For Indonesian consumers, the phone is priced at Rp 8,499,000 (about $560). Pre-order and launch sales promotions will run until February 28, 2026. These include bonuses such as the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro, Huawei Care+ protection, and extended warranty coverage.
Consumers can purchase the Nova 14 Pro online through Huawei’s official store and various e-commerce platforms, as well as offline through authorized Huawei Experience Stores and retail partners across Indonesia.
This launch signals Huawei’s commitment to bringing flagship-grade camera innovations and premium features into the mid-range smartphone segment, offering Indonesian users a competitive option in the $560 price bracket.
