Galaxy S26 Series Unveiled With Cutting-Edge AI, Stunning Cameras, And Privacy Display Innovations You Must Know

Samsung Electronics has officially launched its latest flagship lineup, the Galaxy S26 Series, on February 26, 2026. The unveiling took place at the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco, USA. The new series includes three models: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.

TM Roh, President and Head of Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics, highlighted improvements in the Galaxy AI services embedded in the S26 Series. This AI enhancement aims to provide a seamless and intuitive user experience that boosts creativity and productivity. "Our focus with Galaxy S26 Series is to deliver AI that feels effortless and works quietly in the background, helping users concentrate on what truly matters," Roh explained.

Design and Display Features

The Galaxy S26 Series features a sleek ambient island camera design, grouping all lenses into a unified element for a premium aesthetic. The body of each model is thinner and lighter than its predecessors. Specifically, the Galaxy S26 Ultra measures just 7.9mm thick and weighs 214 grams. The Galaxy S26 Plus has a thickness of 7.2mm with a weight of 167 grams, while the Galaxy S26 is 7.3mm thick and weighs 190 grams.

Each model is available in several colors, including Cobalt Violet, White, Black, and Sky Blue. Exclusive online purchase colors include Pink Gold and Silver Shadow. Samsung equips the series with high durability materials. The devices utilize Armor Aluminum frames and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Additionally, they carry IP68 certification, ensuring resistance to water and dust.

The display technology across all models uses Dynamic AMOLED 2X panels with adaptive 120Hz refresh rates and Vision Booster enhancements for optimal visibility. Screen sizes and resolutions vary by model:

  1. Galaxy S26: 6.3-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X
  2. Galaxy S26 Plus: 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X
  3. Galaxy S26 Ultra: 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X with Privacy Display technology

The Ultra model’s Privacy Display feature reduces screen visibility from side angles to protect user privacy in public spaces. This technology adjusts pixel light diffusion, maintaining bright and clear content visibility for the user while limiting what others can see.

Camera Capabilities

Camera performance receives significant upgrades, especially in the Ultra version. Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus come with a triple rear camera setup: a 50MP main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide lens, and 10MP telephoto lens. Both models also include a 12MP front-facing camera.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra features a more advanced quad-camera system with a 200MP primary sensor, 50MP ultra-wide, 50MP telephoto, and an additional 10MP telephoto lens for enhanced zoom flexibility. Its front camera is 12MP.
