Advanced Camera Systems Powered by Leica Technology
Camera innovation remains the centerpiece of the Xiaomi and Leica partnership. Xiaomi 17 Ultra boasts a 1-inch Light Fusion 1050L sensor with LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) technology, significantly improving light capture and HDR performance. It supports a Leica 200MP telephoto lens with a 75-100mm mechanical optical zoom and APO optical standards that minimize color distortion and ghosting. Video capture supports Dolby Vision 4K at 120fps and ACES Log format for professional production needs.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi 17 integrates a 1/1.31-inch Light Fusion 950 sensor with a dynamic range up to 13.5EV. Its Leica 60mm floating telephoto lens enables 5x optical zoom and macro shooting at a minimum distance of 10 cm. For videography, it offers 4K 60fps Dolby Vision and log recording modes.
Performance and Charging Technology
Both smartphones run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, featuring Qualcomm’s Oryon Gen 3 CPU, the latest Adreno GPU, and Hexagon NPU for AI processing. This SoC is optimized for heavy workloads like rapid-fire photography, high-res video recording, and intensive gaming performance.
Xiaomi supports HyperCharge technology with up to 100W wired charging following PD-PPS standards, ensuring wide compatibility with third-party chargers. Xiaomi 17 Ultra includes a 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless HyperCharge, while Xiaomi 17 offers a 6,330mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The use of Xiaomi Surge Battery technology with up to 16% silicon content enhances energy density without compromising the devices’ slim design.
Display Innovations
The series features custom OLED panels with up to 3,500 nits peak brightness and adaptive refresh rates from 1 to 120Hz through LTPO technology. Xiaomi 17 Ultra introduces HyperRGB subpixel architecture, improving sharpness and power efficiency.
