OnePlus 15T Arrives, Compact Flagship With A 165Hz Display And 7500mAh Battery

OnePlus has officially launched the OnePlus 15T, a compact flagship built for users who want top-tier performance without carrying a large phone. The device arrives with a 6.32-inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 7,500mAh battery, and a premium camera setup, making it one of the most aggressive small-format flagships in its class.

The launch matters because the market for compact Android phones has become narrower, while demand for high-end hardware in smaller bodies remains strong. OnePlus is clearly aiming at buyers who want speed, battery life, and strong imaging in a device that feels easier to handle than most modern flagships.

A compact body with a fast 165Hz AMOLED panel

The OnePlus 15T uses a 6.32-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate that reaches 165Hz. OnePlus also claims the panel uses ultra-thin symmetrical 1.1mm bezels, which helps the phone deliver a more immersive screen-to-body experience.

The display package goes further with features aimed at comfort and durability. It supports very low brightness down to 1 nit, 3840Hz PWM dimming, and low blue light certification, while Oppo Crystal Shield protection is designed to improve resistance against impacts.

Flagship power from Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

At the core of the phone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 3nm chipset built for high performance and efficiency. OnePlus pairs it with LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM up to 16GB and UFS 4.1 storage up to 1TB, giving the phone hardware that should handle heavy multitasking, large games, and demanding creative workloads with ease.

The company also highlights a 5,150mm² vapor chamber cooling system. That cooling setup works alongside a three-chip gaming architecture that is designed to improve graphics performance, network stability, and signal strength, which is especially relevant for users who prioritize long gaming sessions.

In benchmark terms, OnePlus says the device reached 4.45 million points on AnTuTu. While synthetic scores do not tell the full story, the number suggests the 15T sits firmly in the top tier of current Android flagships.

Gaming features target competitive players

OnePlus has pushed gaming as one of the phone’s main strengths. The 15T supports native 144fps gameplay in Honor of Kings at maximum settings, and OnePlus also says 165Hz support is available for titles such as PUBG Mobile and Valorant Mobile.

That kind of refresh-rate headroom matters because it can reduce input lag and make motion appear smoother in supported games. For users who value competitive play, the combination of a fast screen, top-end chipset, and stronger cooling gives the 15T a clear positioning advantage.

Four main points that define the OnePlus 15T

  1. 6.32-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 165Hz adaptive refresh rate.
  2. Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
  3. 7,500mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
  4. Dual rear cameras with a 50MP main sensor and 3.5x periscope telephoto lens.

Android 16 and long software support

The phone ships with Android 16 based on ColorOS 16. OnePlus says the software includes new gaming tools, cross-device connectivity features, and AI enhancements that are meant to improve daily use beyond raw performance.

Long-term support is also part of the pitch. OnePlus promises five years of software support, including four major OS upgrades, which brings the 15T closer to the longer update cycles now expected in the premium smartphone market.

Dual-camera system with periscope zoom

In photography, OnePlus uses its LUMO Imaging system on the 15T. The rear setup combines a 50MP Sony main camera with OIS and a 3.5x periscope telephoto lens with OIS, which can provide optical zoom up to 7x.

The telephoto camera uses an 85mm-equivalent focal length, a specification often associated with portrait photography because it helps produce natural-looking subject separation. OnePlus also adds 4K live photo capture, Master Mode, and film-style presets, while the front camera uses a 16MP sensor for selfies and video calls.

Battery life stands out in a small flagship

One of the most notable features is the 7,500mAh Glacier battery. That capacity is unusually large for a phone that is marketed as compact, and it should help the device last through heavy gaming, multimedia, and work use far better than many smaller rivals.

Charging support is equally broad. The phone supports 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, bypass charging for gaming sessions, and reverse charging in both wired and wireless forms.

Premium durability and full connectivity

OnePlus has also equipped the 15T with IP66, IP68, and IP69K ratings, which indicate strong resistance to dust and water. The combination is more extensive than what many phones in this segment offer and should appeal to buyers who want extra protection in daily use.

Other hardware features include a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and GPS. That makes the 15T a fully loaded flagship rather than a performance-only device.

China pricing and color options

The OnePlus 15T is available in three finishes: Healing White Chocolate, Pure Cocoa, and Relaxing Matcha. In China, pricing starts at 4,299 yuan for the 12GB/256GB model, which equals about $596.

  1. 12GB + 256GB: about $596
  2. 16GB + 256GB: about $638
  3. 12GB + 512GB: about $680
  4. 16GB + 512GB: about $721
  5. 16GB + 1TB: about $792

Pre-orders are already open in China, and sales begin on 25 March. At this price level, the OnePlus 15T is positioned as a premium compact option for buyers who want flagship performance, strong battery life, and a high-end display without moving to a larger smartphone footprint.

The device’s mix of a 165Hz AMOLED panel, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, periscope telephoto camera, and large battery makes it one of the most complete compact flagships announced so far this year.
