HONOR Pad X8b enters the Indonesian market with a clear pitch: a tablet that can handle family use without giving up durability, display comfort, or everyday productivity. The device is positioned in the mid-range segment, with the 4GB/128GB variant priced at Rp2.999.000 and the 6GB/128GB model at Rp3.299.000.
At that level, HONOR is targeting buyers who want one device for work, entertainment, study, and children’s use. The company places physical toughness, eye protection, and digital safety at the center of the Pad X8b’s appeal.
A metal body built for more demanding use
The Pad X8b comes with a slim profile at 7.25 mm and a weight of 499 grams, but HONOR emphasizes that the body is made from metal and designed to be sturdier than it looks. The tablet has also received SGS Switzerland certifications for Drop Resistance and Crush Resistance.
HONOR says the device structure is 90 percent stronger than the previous generation. That improvement is linked to a newer material embedding technology applied to the tablet body.
An 11-inch screen tuned for daily routines
On the front, the tablet carries an 11-inch display with a 1920×1200 pixel resolution. It also supports a 90Hz refresh rate and an 84 percent screen-to-body ratio, giving it a wider feel for reading, browsing, and video viewing.
HONOR pairs the panel with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker Free certifications. These are meant to help reduce eye fatigue during longer sessions, which is relevant for users who spend extended time on streaming, study, or work tasks.
Country Director HONOR Indonesia Norman Chou noted that the device is designed with an eye-friendly display and a large battery for all-day use. He also highlighted the presence of HONOR Kids as a safer digital space for children.
Performance and software for multitasking
For processing power, HONOR equips the Pad X8b with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset. The tablet runs MagicOS 10.0, which supports multitasking and daily productivity needs.
One of the main software features is Multi-Window, allowing three apps to run at the same time. HONOR also points to AI-based multitasking optimization through the Gemini feature, aimed at making single-device use more efficient across different activities.
Features aimed at family control
HONOR Kids is one of the tablet’s most notable additions because it combines dual password protection with parental controls. The system can also warn when a child uses the device at an improper posture or viewing distance.
That approach makes the Pad X8b more than a simple content device. It is also built to give parents more control over access while keeping the tablet practical for everyday family use.
Large battery and four-speaker audio
Battery life is another major selling point, with the Pad X8b carrying a 10,100 mAh battery. HONOR claims the tablet can last up to 97 days in standby mode and up to 21 hours of continuous online video playback.
Entertainment is supported by a quad-speaker system with Hi-Res Audio. Combined with the 11-inch display and 90Hz refresh rate, the audio setup helps position the tablet as a single device for studying, working, and watching content.
The HONOR Pad X8b is available in Space Grey through HONOR Experience Store, Erafone, and official online stores. With its metal body, large battery, and family-focused features, the tablet is presented as a serious option in the Rp2.9 million range for users seeking a versatile daily device.
