Micro Cooling, Shoulder Triggers, and a 144Hz AMOLED Push Infinix GT 50 Pro Into Gaming Territory at Rp 6,999,000

Infinix has introduced the GT 50 Pro in Indonesia as a gaming phone that aims to stand out not only through raw performance, but also through a built-in micro cooling system. The device is positioned for users who want steadier gameplay over long sessions, while also getting physical controls and dedicated accessories designed to support a more serious gaming setup.

The price starts at Rp 6,999,000 for the 12GB/256GB model, while the 12GB/512GB variant is listed at Rp 7,999,000. Infinix also offers three color options: Black Abyss, Red Blaze, and Silver Glacier.

Cooling becomes the main differentiator

One of the GT 50 Pro’s most notable features is its micro liquid pump cooling system, which Infinix describes as an industry first. The phone uses a piezoelectric ceramic heat pump to help move cooling fluid precisely when the device is under heavy load.

The cooling fluid is said to flow at 6.5ml per minute. Android Authority also reported that the process can be viewed through the Pipeline Window Display on the back of the phone, turning the cooling system into a visible part of the device’s identity.

That approach makes the cooling solution more than a hidden internal component. Infinix appears to present it as a defining element of the GT 50 Pro’s design, especially for users who care about sustained performance during extended gaming sessions.

Built for demanding games and long sessions

Under the hood, the GT 50 Pro relies on the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate built on a 4nm process. Infinix says the chipset can reach up to 3.25GHz, putting it in a category suited for graphically demanding games and multitasking.

Battery capacity is also a major part of the package. The phone carries a 6,500mAh battery, paired with 45W wired charging and 30W wireless charging, giving users flexible options when power runs low between gaming sessions.

The combination of a large battery and a high-performance chipset is intended to reduce the usual compromises found in gaming phones. In practice, that means the device is designed to keep performance steady while still offering quick top-ups when needed.

Physical shoulder controls add a competitive edge

Infinix has also added Pressure-Sense GT Trigger controls on the shoulder area of the phone. These are physical mechanical buttons with 10 levels of pressure sensitivity, built to offer more precise input during competitive play.

CGMagOnline, which tested the feature, said the buttons help improve accuracy in gaming. For users who prefer fast response and direct control, the shoulder triggers move the experience closer to what is usually associated with dedicated gaming hardware.

Display and camera remain part of the package

The GT 50 Pro uses a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits, which should help maintain visibility across different lighting conditions.

Although gaming is the main focus, Infinix still includes a camera setup that covers everyday use. The phone comes with a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide camera.

CGMagOnline described the image results as good in bright lighting, noting that detail and color accuracy were strong when conditions were favorable. Even so, the phone is clearly positioned first and foremost as a gaming device rather than a camera-centric model.

Accessory support and software commitment

Infinix is also offering the GT Magcharge Cooler 2.0 as an optional accessory. It includes wireless bypass charging, which sends power directly to the processor without passing through the battery, helping reduce heat buildup during gameplay.

That setup is also intended to support battery health over the long term. For gaming users, this matters because heat and power delivery are often the two factors that limit sustained performance during extended play.

The company further says the GT 50 Pro will receive three years of operating system updates and five years of security updates. With its cooling system, gaming-focused hardware, physical controls, and accessory support, the GT 50 Pro is being positioned as a phone that tries to offer more than just strong specs on paper.
