Xiaomi 17T Series Leak Reveals Dimensity Chips, Bigger Batteries, and Higher Prices

The latest leak around Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro has painted a surprisingly complete picture of both phones before any official announcement. Rather than shifting away from the series’ familiar identity, Xiaomi appears to keep MediaTek Dimensity at the center of the lineup while upgrading the rest of the package in a more ambitious direction.

That approach is important because the T series has long been associated with Dimensity-powered performance. In this case, Xiaomi 17T is said to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra, while Xiaomi 17T Pro steps up to the Dimensity 9500, keeping both models within the same chipset family but clearly separating their class.

Pricing points to a higher position

The leaked European pricing suggests Xiaomi is aiming the 17T lineup at a more premium segment. Xiaomi 17T is rumored to start at €749 for the version with 12GB of RAM, while Xiaomi 17T Pro is listed from €999 with the same 12GB memory.

Storage options also differ between the two. Xiaomi 17T is expected to come with 256GB and 512GB variants, while the Pro model is reportedly limited to a single 512GB option. The pricing is said to be around €100 higher than the previous generation, although the final retail figures are still awaiting official confirmation.

Screens split the lineup by size and speed

The two devices also separate themselves in display size and refresh rate. Xiaomi 17T is tipped to use a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, making it the more compact of the pair.

Xiaomi 17T Pro, by contrast, is said to feature a larger 6.83-inch screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. That combination suggests the Pro model is being positioned for users who want a wider viewing area and a smoother visual experience.

Battery capacity is another major upgrade

Battery life appears to be one of the strongest selling points in the leaked specifications. Xiaomi 17T is said to pack a 6,500mAh battery, while Xiaomi 17T Pro goes even further with a 7,000mAh cell.

Charging speeds also reflect the difference in class. The standard model reportedly supports 67W fast charging, whereas the Pro version includes 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. This pairing gives the Pro model a clear advantage for users who value both endurance and flexibility in how they recharge the phone.

Leica branding stays on the camera system

Photography remains a major focus, and Xiaomi is reportedly keeping Leica branding on both phones through a triple-camera setup. The two models share several camera elements, but the main sensor differs depending on the variant.

Xiaomi 17T Pro is said to use the Light Fusion 950 main sensor, while Xiaomi 17T relies on the Light Fusion 800. Both phones are also equipped with a 50MP telephoto camera offering 5x optical zoom and a 12MP ultrawide lens. On the front, each device reportedly carries a 32MP selfie camera.

Software and color choices stay consistent

Both phones are expected to launch with Android 16 and HyperOS. That software combination should serve as the base for the user experience, interface behavior, and system features across the new T series models.

Color options appear to be aligned as well, with Blue, Black, and Purple mentioned for both devices. Even with that shared palette, the leaked hardware details show that Xiaomi still plans to separate the two models through chipset class, display configuration, battery size, and charging capabilities.

No official launch date has been announced so far. Still, with so many specifications already circulating, Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro now look close to a public debut as the next members of the T series.
