Motorola has expanded the Razr family for global markets with three new models: Razr Ultra 2026, Razr+ 2026, and Razr 2026. The main change is easy to spot on the two higher-end variants, where the cover screen grows to 4 inches and becomes a far more useful part of the folding-phone experience.
That larger outer panel is meant to do more than show alerts. With a 4-inch cover display, the Razr Ultra 2026 and Razr+ 2026 can support broader everyday interaction without forcing users to unfold the device as often, while the standard Razr 2026 keeps a smaller 3.6-inch cover screen for quick touch access and notifications.
Cover display becomes a central feature
Motorola appears to be pushing the idea that the outer screen is no longer a secondary element on a clamshell phone. On the Razr Ultra 2026 and Razr+ 2026, the 4-inch cover display is paired with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz and a claimed peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
That combination is designed to make the cover panel easier to use in fast interactions and in bright outdoor conditions. For users who often check messages, manage widgets, or handle brief tasks from the outside screen, the larger panel offers more room and more flexibility than a typical notification strip.
The standard Razr 2026 does not follow the same direction as the two upper models, but it still keeps a functional 3.6-inch outer display. Motorola positions that screen for touch-based notifications and short interactions, which keeps the entry model usable without adding the same larger interface found above it.
Different hardware tiers across the lineup
The three Razr models are separated clearly by processor, memory, display capability, and battery size. Razr Ultra 2026 sits at the top of the range with Snapdragon 8 Elite 3nm octa-core silicon clocked up to 4.47GHz, an Adreno 830 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage.
Razr+ 2026 uses Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 4nm octa-core hardware with speeds of up to 3GHz. It comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, which places it below the Ultra but still in a premium bracket.
Razr 2026 is the only model in the series that does not use a Qualcomm chip. Motorola instead selected the MediaTek Dimensity 7450X 4nm octa-core platform with a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage.
Inner screens keep the focus on foldable usability
Inside, Motorola gives the Ultra model the most advanced panel in the trio. Razr Ultra 2026 carries a 7-inch 10-bit LTPO Extreme AMOLED foldable display with a 165Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, a 22:9 aspect ratio, and a claimed peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits.
The other two phones share a 6.9-inch 10-bit LTPO Extreme AMOLED inner screen. Razr+ 2026 can reach up to 165Hz, while the regular Razr 2026 goes up to 120Hz, and both are rated for peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits.
Those screen choices reinforce Motorola’s strategy for the Razr series: the more expensive models get a stronger balance between outer and inner displays, while the base model keeps the foldable experience more accessible.
Cameras stay consistent at the back
Motorola takes a relatively uniform approach to rear cameras across the family. All three phones include a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultrawide camera on the outside, which keeps the core imaging setup the same throughout the lineup.
The front-facing camera differs by model. Razr Ultra 2026 uses a 50MP internal camera, while Razr+ 2026 and Razr 2026 both rely on a 32MP front camera.
Battery and charging vary by model
Battery capacity also changes from one variant to another. Razr Ultra 2026 is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and supports 68W wired charging, 30W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wired charging.
Razr+ 2026 uses a 4,500mAh battery with 45W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wired charging. Razr 2026 comes with a 4,800mAh battery and supports 30W wired charging alongside 15W wireless charging.
All three phones support 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C, which keeps the core connectivity package aligned across the series.
Pricing and availability
Motorola has priced Razr Ultra 2026 at $1,499.99 and offers it in Pantone Cocoa and Pantone Orient Blue. The model is set to arrive in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific in the coming months.
Razr+ 2026 is listed at $1,099.99 and comes in Pantone Mountain View. Razr 2026 is priced at $799.99 and will be available in Pantone Bright White, Hematite, Sporting Green, and Violet Ice.
Pre-orders for the Razr 2026 series begin on 14 May through Motorola’s official website in each region. With the 4-inch cover screen on the two higher models, Motorola is clearly treating the outer display as a core part of the foldable experience rather than a simple add-on.
