Vivo X Fold 6 Leaks Point To A 200MP Camera And A Near-7,000mAh Battery Upgrade

Vivo’s next foldable is drawing attention for reasons that matter most in this category: imaging and battery life. Early details around the Vivo X Fold 6 point to a major push in both areas, with a 200-megapixel main camera and a battery rated at around 7,000mAh.

That combination would put the device in a stronger position against rival book-style foldables, many of which still struggle to balance thinness, endurance, and camera hardware. The leak suggests Vivo is trying to address those weaknesses while keeping the phone positioned firmly as a premium flagship.

A larger battery for a dual-screen design

One of the most notable claims is the battery size. The reported “7K” figure is widely understood to mean close to 7,000mAh, which would be a clear jump over the 6,000mAh cell used in the Vivo X Fold 5.

For a foldable, that increase matters because the device has to power two displays and still maintain flagship-level performance. Wireless charging is also said to be part of the package, although no charging speed has been revealed yet.

Camera hardware takes the spotlight

The biggest differentiator appears to be the rear camera setup. Vivo X Fold 6 is said to carry three rear cameras, led by a 200MP main sensor, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens.

That is a significant step up from the Vivo X Fold 5, which used a triple 50MP setup for the main, ultra-wide, and periscope telephoto cameras with Zeiss support. The new arrangement would make the X Fold 6 one of the more ambitious camera-focused foldables in its class.

Selfie and video call duties are also expected to get attention. The leak points to two 20MP front cameras, with one placed on the outer display and another on the inner screen, giving users camera access whether the phone is folded or opened.

Display sizes suggest a familiar book-style format

Digital Chat Station, posting on Weibo, says the Vivo X Fold 6 will feature an 8.02-inch foldable main display with 2K resolution. The panel is also said to use ultra-thin glass, or UTG, which is commonly used in foldable phones to improve durability during repeated folding.

The cover screen is reportedly 6.51 inches. Together, those sizes indicate Vivo is sticking with a book-style design that offers a large inner screen for productivity and media, while still remaining practical as a regular phone when closed.

Flagship performance remains part of the plan

Performance is another area where the X Fold 6 appears to stay in premium territory. The leak names MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 as the chipset inside the device.

That choice keeps the phone in line with Vivo’s flagship foldable strategy, where design flexibility is paired with top-end hardware rather than treated as a style-first experiment. The emphasis on a high-end chip, larger battery, and stronger camera array suggests a more complete all-round package.

Thin body and water resistance still matter

Even with the larger battery, the device is said to remain thin and light. That continues Vivo’s approach with its foldables, where portability is treated as a core selling point instead of an afterthought.

Water resistance is also expected to return, though exact certification details are not yet known. The previous Vivo X Fold 5 was claimed to have IPX8+IPX9+IP5X protection, so durability remains an important part of the product line.

For reference, the Vivo X Fold 5 weighs 217 grams and measures 9.2mm when folded and 4.3mm when unfolded. Those numbers show the level Vivo has been trying to maintain, and the next model will likely need to stay close to that balance if it wants to keep the same appeal.
