Galaxy S26 Users Have Made AI a Daily Habit, Samsung Says 97% Are Already Using It

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Series is no longer being treated as a showcase for AI features alone. Internal company data shows that about 97 percent of Galaxy S26 users are already using Galaxy AI on a daily basis, signaling that the technology has moved into routine use rather than occasional testing.

That shift matters because it changes the role of AI on a flagship phone. Instead of serving as a new feature people try once and forget, Galaxy AI is now being used to search for information, edit photos, and create content directly from the device.

The adoption level is also notably higher than on the previous generation. When the Galaxy S24 Series launched, AI usage was around 88 percent during the first three months, according to Samsung.

The figures were shared by Ilham Indrawan, Senior Manager MX Product Marketing at Samsung Electronics Indonesia, during the Galaxy S26 Series #YouandAICan workshop in Hanoi, Vietnam. The event was also attended by Kompas.com journalist Marsha Bremanda.

Samsung says the growing use reflects a broader change in how users work with their phones. As more people create and process content on mobile devices, AI tools are becoming part of an everyday workflow rather than a separate feature category.

The most-used Galaxy AI tools

Samsung identified five Galaxy AI features that see the most use on the Galaxy S26 Series. They are Gemini, Circle to Search, Photo Assist, Audio Eraser, and Now Brief.

That list points to practical, repeated tasks rather than experimental use. Users are leaning on AI not only for information search, but also for productivity and content creation.

Among those features, Photo Assist and Audio Eraser stand out as favorites. Both are closely tied to quick content editing on a phone, which fits the way users increasingly handle photos and videos on the go.

Photo Assist has also become more convenient because it now supports prompting. That lets users give text-based instructions to the AI for editing content, making the process more straightforward on mobile.

Camera use is rising alongside AI

Samsung also reported stronger activity in camera features on the Galaxy S26 Series. About 93 percent of users actively use the camera for photos, video, and selfies, up from around 91 percent on the previous generation.

The company also said Pro Camera and Pro Video usage doubled compared with the Galaxy S25 Series. That growth suggests users are doing more than capturing content; they are also editing and refining it on the same device.

The pattern is especially visible among Galaxy S26 Ultra owners. On average, they are said to use video editing features up to 15 times per week, which Samsung compares to editing software use about twice a day.

Samsung links that behavior to the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s ability to handle more advanced video editing. Together with AI tools, the camera experience has become part of a broader content-production habit.

The overall picture is clear: on the Galaxy S26 Series, AI is no longer framed as a demonstration of what a flagship phone can do. It is being used repeatedly for searching, cleaning up audio, improving photos, and organizing everyday content creation.
