Samsung Galaxy A37 is becoming a more compelling midrange option after its price moved down into the Rp5 jutaan range across several marketplaces. The 8/128GB variant has dropped from Rp6.5 million to Rp5.6 million, while the 8/256GB model has fallen from Rp7.3 million to Rp5.9 million.
That shift makes the larger storage option look more reasonable for long-term use. Since Galaxy A37 does not support MicroSD, internal capacity matters more for users who keep many apps, photos, and videos on their phone.
Battery life is the strongest selling point
Among the phone’s features, endurance stands out the most. In PCMark testing, Galaxy A37 lasted up to 14 hours 55 minutes, putting it just short of the 15-hour mark.
That level of battery life makes it suitable for travel and full-day use outside the home. It also reduces the need to keep looking for a charger during daily routines centered on communication, streaming, and social media.
A familiar Samsung display advantage
The screen remains one of the device’s clearest strengths even as competition in the segment stays tight. Samsung’s Super AMOLED panel delivers vibrant colors, deep blacks, and sRGB color accuracy that is close to 100%.
Peak brightness reaches 460 nits, which is enough for everyday use. Still, visibility can drop when the phone is used under strong sunlight.
Design feels slim, but not fully premium
Galaxy A37 comes with a 7.4 mm body and weighs 196 grams, so it still feels comfortable in hand. Even so, the plastic build prevents the premium impression from matching some rivals in the same class.
The front side also still carries relatively thick bezels. In a market where slimmer and more symmetrical bezels are increasingly common, the phone’s face does not feel fully aligned with modern design trends.
Performance is fine for daily use, not for heavy gaming
Samsung uses the Exynos 1480 in Galaxy A37, the same chipset found in Galaxy A55. Its AnTuTu score sits around the 1 million range, so raw power is not the main appeal here.
Heavy games expose those limits more clearly. Genshin Impact on the lowest settings averages 44 FPS, while Wuthering Waves still shows occasional stutter.
For routine use, though, the phone remains safe to recommend. PUBG and Mobile Legends run smoothly, and the device also posted 99.7 percent in a stress test while keeping temperatures at 41 degrees Celsius.
Software support and AI tools add value
Out of the box, Galaxy A37 runs One UI 8.5 based on Android 16. Samsung also promises software support for up to 6 years, which strengthens its appeal for buyers who plan to keep the phone for a long time.
The interface is described as smooth and free from intrusive ads. Samsung also includes several AI-related tools, such as Circle to Search, Object Eraser, and Auto Trim video for social media editing needs.
Cameras are dependable for everyday shots
The rear camera setup is led by a 50MP main camera with OIS. Its output carries Samsung’s usual look, with sharp detail, mature blue skies, and results that are generally ready to share without much editing.
The 12MP front camera is also considered reliable because skin tones look natural. Nightography support is said to work well for daily use and helps when shooting in low light.
The 8MP ultrawide camera is the weakest part of the trio. Detail is limited, so it works better as a complementary lens than as the main choice for photography needs.
With its price now sitting in the Rp5 jutaan range, Galaxy A37 becomes easier to justify for users who care most about AMOLED quality, long battery life, extended software support, and a consistent main camera. Those looking for top-end performance or a more modern bezel design may still find other options in the same price bracket more attractive.
