Apple has brought the iPad Air M4 to Indonesia, and the model enters the market with a much stronger position than a simple refresh. It is priced from Rp 12 jutaan and is aimed at users who want a fast tablet for work, creative tasks, and heavy multitasking without moving up to the iPad Pro line.
The most visible shift comes from the M4 chip. Apple pairs it with 12 GB unified memory, Apple Intelligence support in iPadOS 26, and compatibility with the latest accessories, turning the iPad Air M4 into a more complete productivity device.
Performance built around M4
At the center of the device is the M4 chip with an 8-core CPU, 9-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine. Apple says this setup is up to 30% faster than M3 and 2.3 times faster than M1.
The chip also supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing and mesh shading. That gives the tablet a stronger base for tasks that go beyond content consumption, including 4K video editing in Final Cut Pro, 3D rendering, and more demanding multitasking.
The faster Neural Engine also helps on-device AI processing. That includes automatic transcription and video background removal handled directly on the device.
Two screen sizes, different use cases
iPad Air M4 is offered in 11-inch and 13-inch versions. Both use Liquid Retina displays with True Tone and Wide Color (P3), but the two sizes differ in resolution and brightness.
The 11-inch model has a resolution of 2360 x 1640 pixels, a density of 264 ppi, and 500 nits of brightness. The 13-inch version carries a resolution of 2732 x 2048 pixels, the same 264 ppi density, and a brighter 600 nits panel.
Storage, cameras, and connectivity
Apple gives the iPad Air M4 12 GB of unified memory and four storage options: 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB. That combination is intended for users who need more room for apps and files, as well as smoother multitasking.
The tablet also carries a 12 MP Wide rear camera. On the front, it uses a 12 MP Ultra Wide camera with Center Stage and a landscape orientation.
For connectivity, the iPad Air M4 supports Wi‑Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Cellular models also bring 5G and eSIM support. Apple claims battery life of up to 10 hours.
Software and accessory support
The device runs iPadOS 26 and includes support for Apple Intelligence. It is also compatible with Apple Pencil Pro and the latest Magic Keyboard.
Apple describes iPad Air as a device for productivity and creativity. Bob Borchers, Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing at Apple, said iPad Air gives users more ways than ever to create and be productive.
